Default Hit and Stick Powder

I am so glad I'm not the only one that doesn't know how to use this. I have had mine for at least a year and never used it because I really wasn't sure what you do with it. I can't wait for someone to tell us. Thanks, Carol

rather than just give you the thread, I am going to be mean and make you search for it! LOL

Here is how:

If you have questions on a specific subject go to forums and then search. Type in a few keywords (in this case heat and stick powder )and click "search all terms"
It will bring up a lot of good threads for you to search. Sometimes you have to play with the wording until you find the right one to answer your question.

Whenever you have a question it is a good idea to do your own search first-chances are the answer is waiting for you already.

I searched using "heat and stick powder" and I found good threads, so I know it will work. Now you know how to search!

The real trick is not to overheat the powder.

Just used some today. Took my versamark and colored in a spot, put heat and stick on it. Heated until done, then pearl exed. Showed off the card tonight at a tastefully simple party (the hostess is a good friend and a regular customer) and it was a hit!

Britta, this may be stealing the thread sort of but THANK YOU! I have been wondering how we can possibly navigate all these great discussions and always have wondered how people are so proficient at giving threads in their answers... Bless you, for your practicality and teaching us this!
I sent out a query awhile ago for great quotes, and have just now did the search and to my great delight, I have found exactly the thread I was looking for!!
I'm a happy Forum nut!
thanks,
Laurie

I use it like embossing powder and then put like glitter on it - The only thing I have found I don't know if its the humidity or what and Im in Minnesota but it gets old fast and won't stick anymore when heated and too old it gets clumpy and I had to cut it finer with a razor blade. That was after a Year of having it.

Can someone tell me why to use heat 'n stick powder instead of just applying 2-way glue where I want it? I've never been sure.....

IMHO, the heat and stick provides a better "grip". When I use 2 way glue, even after its dry, if you rub it, the glitter, flock, PE etc. will rub off.

H&S is really sticky and doesn't like to let go of what its holding. I love it!

Default Heat and Stick Powder

I'm like most of you, I never knew how to use it, but now that I know it's great. I put it on a card that I uploaded using the Mon Ami Stamp Set. It's called Love. I stamped the red L with red craft ink and then sprinkled it with heat and stick powder. Then you heat it with a heat tool and it stays sticky, then I sprinkled Hologram glitter on it and heated it once again. It looks great!

Most things I've seen about HEat & stick say to use Versamark. Can you use a craft pad w/ the same effect?

Yes! I used a red craft pad, then heat & stick and then hologram glitter on my Love card that I did. Worked great.
