Default HELP!! My husband is @ HD looking for tiles!

Can someone tell me exactly what I need to direct him to? I would like to make some coasters and some magnets. I've told him 2 x 2 and 4 x 4 are the sizes.

How do the tiles come? In a box?

What color do I want?

Unglazed - correct?

Is it a marble?

Now he has the clerk looking in the catalog - I don't think he knows what he is doing!

Any assistance is appreciated.

S.

The 4x4 come in a small box with 9 tiles in it... The box should cost $4.95.
Look for the BOTTICINO tumbled marble tiles.

I got mine in the ceramic tiles isle. They come in a small box. I think mine came with 10 (not sure). I have the unglazed, kindof beat up tiles. They look great when stamped on. Good luck!

The 4x4 tiles are called 'Riata', or tumbled. They are not glazed. They come in a box - usually with 9 tiles. I have only seen them in natural (kind of like limestone).

The 2x2 tiles that I have seen are glazed and they are stuck together in a sheet. They come in white, ivory, black, blue - you name it.

Good luck!

HD is (or has) discontinued the tumbled tiles. :( Lowe's still carries them, tho -- 9 tiles for about $6.

I just bought a box at Home Depot on Tuesday. They had lots of styles. Maybe just some of them are discontinuing them.

I really should check the tile outlet store around the corner from my house
