How do you make the Stampin Up wall clock? *merged*
Does anyone know where you can find clock motors and hands to do a wall clock like they did on pg 192 (CAD catalogue)? I want to do this in my craft room!
Thanks, Karen
Walmart & Hobby Lobby carry different kinds of clock parts too and they are quite a bit cheaper. Not sure if they are the style that you want or not, but check in the aisle with the wood cut-out shapes (like the big wood letters) and you should find them there.
has anyone done this i saw it in the new SU catalogue but not sure what paint or ink to use or where to get the hands bcuz it is irght ion the wall instead of a base
can anyone help
I make the wall clocks all the time....WalMart sells these clocks for 3.96 in black, blue or white...I always use the black. You can take them apart use the face to make a template. I just reuse my template on cardstock, stamp and decorate, use stick on numbers and confetti dots for the times....they turn out beautiful. I gave a bunch of them as Christmas presents last year and sold alot of them.
I think the larger numbers, 12, 3, 6, 9..are chipboard numbers painted. The other letters are one of the letters sets. Then there are various flower and other stamps. As far as the clock mechanism, not sure...you might find something like that at Michael's or Hobby Lobby, or a specialty clock store. I think you could come up with the same concept easily. I think the hardest part is finding the mechism for the clock. You could use any stamps that go with your decor, or make it all various flower stamps or other stamps that you like. I really liked that clock too and thought about duplicating it in my stamp room.
Hi - not sure if this is the right spot to post, but I'm wondering where one could get the clock hands big enough to do a wall clock, like the one on page 192 of the SU catalogue. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I need to do this on my Scrap Room Wall.. it's a must!!!
Do tell how you get those clocks apart. I have one and am afraid I am going to break it... Do you pry off the front clear cover or unscrew the screws in the back? And then how do you get the hands off, so you can replace the face.
Thanks...
Tricia
