Default I would love to try the soot technique

Does anyone have instructions on how to try the soot technique. I thought it might be just sponging on ink but I've also read others using a candle.

Thanks!

At the top of the page you will find a link to Resources. The Soot tutorial can be found there or use this link: Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

If you brayer on color under the soot it gives another look. This card has turquoise under the soot. I only burned one piece of paper on my first try!

I found that the cheap white ones that you get a walmart work realy good. I only managed to burn 1 card also. If you are a demo I am not sure I would do this at a party Great to show, but not a project for everyone else to do. I thought about it, but did not think the military would like me burning down their house.
