I finally bought a set of Pearlex....now I just need some ideas of what to do with it - what are some fun techniques?

Here are some ideas. Altho I think it is a little 'old', some of the ideas are still good.

I use Future Floor Wax as a binder. Just dip a paint brush into the wax and then into pearl ex and paint. It works best if you emboss an outline image first, as then you have 'guides' to paint. Our aquapainters work very well for this too. I keep one filled with Future Floor wax.

Stamp a solid image with Versamark and then brush with dry Pearl Ex - you only need a tiny bit. Spray with a sealer, cheap hairspray works well.
Have fun.

Default Pearl-Ex and Shattered glass Effect

I recently purchased some Pearl-Ex as well and tried the Shattered Glass effect. It's in the resources. You take masking tape and rip it and put it all over the cardstock then you take your versamark and versamark the whole thing then use your pearl-ex over top of that and seal. Then you can stamp one of youe stamp over it and then take the tape off. I had problems with the tape attaching to my paper at first but it's worth trying cause it looks really good.
Another thing to try with your pearl-ex is get one of those small travel hairsprays, (actually get 2) and in this put some of your Pearl-Ex to it. I have one for the micro pearl and one for the gold. You can use these to add a shimmer to your existing card. It's very pretty.
