It is called the "magic pull up card". I got the instructions for it from the diy network-the Carol Devall show-episode CDS-1449F. If you can't find it let me know and I will get them to you. I have not tryed the card yet I just found it yesterday, it seems like alot of steps, but the card is so cool its worth trying. Good luck, Linda

Default Magic Slider Card

This is called the magic slider card - can you get on the S.U. website?
It is on there - but if you can't get into it - email me back here and I will try to download it and give you the instructions.

However - the instructions on S.U. are incomplete - it doesn't mention that you need the medium S.U. cello bags and that you cut them at 1 inch - on the short side to make the "slide".

Good luck - I gave this card as a baby card and she loved it! I have one for a wedding card this coming spring.

It is a blast to make - you will want to make more than just one!

Okay, so I lied...IT'S GONE!!! since this is the only site I'm on, and the only resource I have...I KNOW I GOT IT HERE. I have the directions...I'll find them and post them. They are a little time consuming and tedious to me...that's why I quit making them, but man are they ever cool!!

Beate said it will be coming soon on another thread. Maybe it'll be Wed's new technique! Can't wait for it. She makes awesome tutorials!

okay, with 8 1/2 x 11 cs:

fold cs into quarters

cut away upper left corner--set aside--this will be your sliding panel

cut 1/4" along OUTSIDE edge of 2 right side panels

score 1/4" strip along outside edge of lower left panel. Cut the two corners of the folded flap at an angle. Fold and unfold on score.

Cut window in bottom left panel--size according to which stamp you will use.

Upper right will be "secret" panel.
bottom right is back panel.

Fold upper right down over lower right.

Draw a dot along folded edge 1/4" in from each side (this is on the two right panels folded down...you should be marking from the upper folded edge)

Cut the area between the two marks. This gives you the slit that your secret panel will slide from.

stamp front piece (lower left quad.)

SLIDING PANEL
cut 1/2" from long edges, should measure 3 3/4 x 5 1/2.
Measure 1/2" up from bottom on each side of panel. Cut 1/8" wide strip from this point (1/2" up ) to top of panel. This will leave your panel looking like a fat upside down T.

Stamp image on sliding panel and color.
slide panel inside folded pieces and pull up so that it is sticking out the top of your card. (important that you do this now.)

Place window sheet slightly larger than panel over image and stamp on acetate. Manuver acetate so that images are on top of each other. Glue a tiny line across the top of panel to adhere to acetate.

Hold securely together and cut so that papers are exact.

Push sliding panel down, fold front left panel over. fold flap from front panel to the back and adhere

Add a decorative pull tab to top of sliding panel.

You now have a magic card.

Clear as mud???

If you need any more explanations, cause I know my directions aren't great, please feel free to pm me.

Becky

It used to be on the list of cards in resources. Why did it leave? Beate's directions are so much better than mine. I kinda write them down over once I do it in my own words so that they make more sense to my slow mind. Sometimes, they don't make sense to anyone else....lol. I'll be glad when it is posted again.

Thanks so much. I was looking for these directions. These magic cards are so neat! It may be a little beyond me though.
