I made some adorable shower invites (but they'd work for announcements) with the mini envelope template and Baby Firsts set. I made 2 mini envelopes (yellow): one that showed the front with the Special Delivery seal, the other showed the back (seams) and the sleeping baby (sage shadow on white) partially tucked in like you pulled it part way out of the envelope. I put them on sage green patterned paper on a white card and put all the shower info on the inside. On the template I used the small square envelope with the rounded flap and yellow copy paper for the envelopes to reduce bulk for mailing.
Pic attached of one I use often for baby cards, announcements, thank you's, etc. Can be adapted and used with many different baby sets. The diaper is cut from a paper napkin (free at the coffee shop! LOL). Only put the safety pin through the front of the diaper folds, where the points come together - this makes a pocket for the tag, which can be removed. Glue the diaper back to the card. Hope this helps.
Wonderful ideas everyone! I will be working on mine tonight and tomorrow. I'll post a picture as soon as I get it done. Hey-it just might be my first picture to post!
