Post Jacob's Ladder

Does anyone know how to make a Jacob's Ladder mini album using chipboard coasters? I've got directions using wood but don't want to go to the trouble of cutting. Not sure how to connect the ribbons without nails. Thanks.

This is on my 'to do' list of projects to try. I have in mind using 2 coasters, in place of the wood, and having the ribbon sandwiched in between the 2 coasters. I was thinking I'd adhere the ribbon with tacky tape...else maybe with brads?

I got this idea from an online tutorial on Creating Keepsakes:

I made the Jacob's ladder copying a toy we had that actually had 2 pieces of wood glued together and no nails. It was a labor of love as it was taken apart 3 times before I finally was successful. It's very cute but I won't bother with another. I'm going to put my neighbor's 2 y.o. grandson's photos on the coasters as a gift. I'm not sure he'll be able to do it himself but I think he'll like the pics of himself and gma and gpa and his mom and dad and dogs, etc.
I did use the wonder tape and glue stick. No brads.

Smile Craft TV Weekly

There's a video tutorial on CraftTVWeekly.com called the Jacob's Ladder Flip & Fold. It's in the archive section.

Registration is free and there are some cool ideas on that site.
