Default Jumbo wheel with silver ink?

I'm wondering if I can fill an empty cell Jumbo cartridge with the silver pigment ink refill. I would like to use the Swirl Jumbo Wheel on my Christmas cards on Night of Navy. Do you think that will work? I'm kind of scared to try it! I don't want to mess up my cartridge. Thanks!

Sounds Pretty!

I don't see why you couldn't make your own silver cartridge!

Let us know how it works!

Default Silver Ink

I have used the Jumbo wheels just by inking the Wheel from the pad. I used it for the two cards below that way. The difference is you have to ink the wheel each time you start a new row whether diagonal or across. I don't know if it would work for a long row, like on a bag.

The second one doesn't show as well because the pad is an Opalite Inference Pad and only shows based on the light.

I think you will be fine unless you are doing lots and lots of cards, etc.
Then I would ink the cartridge.

HTH,
Shirley R.

Default Jumbo wheel

I found it somewhat a problem when I used the metallic reinkers. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but it was very hard to squeeze the ink onto the blank cartridge and then I had to keep applying it. I was doing gold metallic on the gift wrapping paper....

I find the thicker-type inks take much longer to "soak" into the cartidges than the SU! classic inks. I find that I must re-ink them 3 or 4 times, waiting inbetween about 20 minutes, to fill the cells completely. It uses alot of reinker up too.

I have done this with versamark refill and jumbo roller cartridge to do the technique from the cover of nov SS with the chalks. It took longer to soak in and I did apply 2-3 times to cartridge before I used it. I found that I have to re-ink more often than I would normally. I just ordered more empty cartridges so I could try gold & silver metallic too, such a time saver (than rolling on pads) when you are making in bulk.
