I am looking for a template for an odd kind of card. I'm not sure how to explain it. It sort of looks like a flower, and when you pull the card from the envelope, it pops up 3D...it has rubber bands inside the petals(?) to make it sping up...my friend made one a long time ago, and she showed it to me, but couldn't find the template...it was amazing. Any ideas?

I wish I could describe it better...it was so neat. It had several petals (two pieces-top and bottom) and the corresponding top and bottom petals were adhered together, and then a rubber band was stretched across corresponding petals INSIDE the card, so that when it was in an envelope it would be flat, but when you pulled it out of its envelope, it popped up...I don't even remember how many petal it had. It seemed kind of complicated, but I would love to try it. I even tried making my own template the other day, but it just didn't work out. My friend made it at a workshop, but I don't know if it was an SU workshop, or one from our stampin store, or just a friend of hers...sigh. Hopefully, somebody will have seen something at least similar...thanks!
If you go to the DIY.NET site Sandy G made this card on her show DIY Scrapbooking once and also Carol Duvall made it long ago on one of her shows with someone. DO a search on the two DIY shows and you should find it. Hugs Belinda

I can't help you with a flower pop-up, but maybe this HGTV episode will jog your memory. Michael Strong did a polygon pop-up card. Maybe you could somehow adapt it and make flower petals. http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_paper_cr...394914,00.html

I went to the HGTV site, and sure enough, it is the pattern I was looking for!! That is so fantastic! I told you I couldn't describe it very well, but it looks like a flower to me! Thank you all so very much! I have been looking for this pattern for quite a while. Tomorrow, I promise to make the card, and post it so everyone can see how cute this card is!
