Okay, I can't for the life of me find this again . . . maybe someone else would be able to hunt it down . . . but I'm sure that I saw a card done with faux spirelli. It seemed simple enough to do, kinda like a faux stitch but longer. I thought it was a really great idea. Gotta love those fauxs!

Was cleaning up my subscriptions and thought wouldn't it be neat if I added this here and then I wouldn't have to keep both links! Thanks to Spazzgirl for the original thread!
I just posted a card today with Faux Wood. I saw a video tutorial from GinaK a while back, and followed those instructions.
Here is my card from today: Strut Your Stuff by ParisEstates at Splitcoaststampers
And it is on my blog today as well - if you want to see and read there: http://parisestates.blogspot.com/2007/05/chickens.html
To do the wood, I dragged my white ink pad over a beige coloured card stock (all in the length-wise direction) and then dragged a dark grey over it all (in the same length-wise direction). With a fine point black marker, I drew the plank lines and nail dots.
Hope that is what you were looking for!

Found the instructions from HappyHeart!! She rocks!
"I make the Faux Rattan using either the Double Stitch wheel or the double stitch stamp from the Perfect Plaids set. I just stamp or roll it over and over using two or three coordinating colors. Very easy!"
Is there any chance that someone has an updated template for faux postage? I have no idea how to change it on the computer but I would love a new template that has the 41 cents instead of 39. I should have made the cards a few weeks ago to avoid this I guess! Thanks in advance for your help!
I'm going to try to attach the one I have. I only have it in Word.

PM allee's for her faux hinges. They are made from sides of cardboard packages and embossed in silver or gold. They are great. Here's an example of them:

Stamp image with Versamark on medium to dark cs. Use stamp positioner to line up image just a skosh (thats not very much) above and to the left or right. Stamp image there with white dye ink. This is absolutely gorgeous, I 've done it! People that looked at my samples had to touch it. I saw it here and I apologize profusely but I can't find it again and I can't remember who to give credit where credit is due. I am so sorry. "
