My first and only attempt at the Foxy Oxi technique was for a swap.
The first batch I made did not look right, but as I was working on the last sheet of cardstock, there were a couple of things I noticed that made me decide to try another batch with a few adjustments. The second batch worked! Here are a few things that helped me:
1. When I brushed on my color for the first round, I didn't use enough color. I was going for a washed out water background for my mermaid card, so I didn't use much color on my brush. Second round, I added more color and left it to the Oxiclean to wash out the color for me. Much better. Bold Brights worked best.
2. First round, I used too much Oxiclean. I had sprinkled Oxiclean all over the cardstock and didn't think much about any clumps that may have formed. Not good. As the water worked with the Oxiclean, the bleached spots just all ended up blending together into a washed out mess. The clumps were hard to brush off as they began to dry and created a funky texture on my cardstock. Second round, I lightly sprinkled some grains in small patches around my cardstock and avoided clumps. It didn't take much Oxiclean at all. So much better!
3. First round, I think I left the Oxiclean on too long. I was working on some other housework between steps, so I left the Oxiclean on longer for some sheets than others. Which may explain why some sheets came out looking better than others. The Technique Tutorial says about 30 seconds, so for second round, I timed it. It worked!
With all of the adjustments I made, the second batch was a lot better, and I think the cards turned out pretty cool. I have a sample posted in my gallery. The scanner didn't really pick up the result of the technique well (background), but it's there

It was a fun technique, and I think I'll try it again sometime.
