I want to do vellum lampshades at my stamp camp in April. I have looked at alot of the samples in the gallery. I don't have Roses in Winter, but the samples with that set are awesome. Does anyone have any other suggestions for stamp sets that work well for these?
And, I also want to decorate cans. Either small paint cans, if I can find them here in our small town. Or soup cans maybe, with a filled cellophane bag. I can't find too many samples of these. Would love some suggestions on what to do with these. I am overwhelmed by this idea for some reason.
TIA for any help!
LeeAnn
The lamp shades could be any set of your preference. I have seen large flowers on them to leaves.
I just did a large soup can for my friends daughter. I filled it with girly things (she is 4) hair ponys, lip gloss, rings all found at Dollar General. She loved it. You can fill with anything that fits.
Man--tees and golf ball
teacher--apsrin, band-aids, candy, stickers
Tickets and gift certificates are great in any size.
I have T. Tulips; would that be a good set for the vellum lampshades?
I want to order either Roses in Winter or In Full Bloom for my stamp camp. Oh, but I want both!!! :!: The samples on SCS are incredible!
How do you decorate the outside of the cans; just wrap with paper and attach tags or strips of crimped paper? I know you use sticky tape.
I have done the soup cans and made them into a Minnow Bucket using one of the Fishing sets that is retired now. I poked holes in the can and added wire for the handle, then filled a cello bag with Goldfish crackers and tied it with raffia. My ladies loved this and they used it for Father's Day.
For the Lamps we the used the Toile Blossom set and embossed in white, then colored with metallic pencils. These turned out beautiful!
I think the Terrific Tulips would be a good set, I love it! I, also, love the Roses in Winter and Watercolor Garden II sets, they would be beautiful, also.
