I made a card today, and tired to reproduce the look that so many amazing artists on SCS are getting with their Copics. Since this is my FIRST try, I can't say that it is fect, but I do likethe results and will keep trying. So what did I use - MY SU MARKERS!!! Here is my card :
I am hoping to have a tutorial on my blog in the next couple of days, so keep you mouse ready to click there, if you like the look but wanna save the $600!
UPDATE! The tutorial is available on my blog now!
That is just awesome! That is some GREAT coloring!! I can't wait for your tutorial either. I can't afford Copics... and would love to learn how to do this with regular markers!!
Great job!!! I have been wanting copic too--but can't afford them. I did find them at Hobby Lobby tonight---5.89 each with a 40% off coupon won't be as bad!
Thanks Gina, and I really enjoyed your comment on my blog as well *SHUT UP*...hehehe
Julie, you totally floored me! LOL! I mean, I love your blog and read it all the time but that technique is amazing! I've never seen anything like it! I can't wait until you teach us how to do it!

Julie,
I've had some success with my SU WCWcrayons but I never consider my markers - because I can't get them to look anything but flat.
You've done a terrific job, I never thought markers could produce the wonderful results you got. I'm lining up to wait for the tutorial too. Thanks for the amazing inspiration!

I finished it last night, so I will hopefully have it up tomorrow! It is THanksgiving weekend here, and so I probably will not happen today
Hard to argue with those results. VERY LOVELY! I will admit to loving my Copics, however. I'm just not anywhere near as capable as you are with regular markers, and need the "cheat" that Copic markers allow me!
Love your blog. I can't wait till you post the tutorial!!

Can a mod please put the link to the tutorial in the original post?? It would make it so much easier for those that click on so they can see it right away! Thanks, but if not, that is OK too

OMG OMG!! Thank you THANK YOU!!!! I keep seeing and hearing about Copic and I can't cough up couple hundreds but I already have full set of SU markers!! Yay!! But I am wondering if Marvy markers work as well?? What about Zig markers? lol I have those too. I definitely should buy lots of watercolor paper! Whoo!!!
Oh, Wow! This soooo works. After work I stopped and bought some 140# watercolor paper and set to work! The results were more amazing than anything my little hands have ever done. I had saved up nearly $120 toward my Copics purchase and now that money is going to be spent on Paper Trey stuff instead. I could just kiss you! SWAK!
