Default No smell on scratch-n-sniff -- HELP!!

I have no idea what I might be doing wrong with these scratch-n-sniff cards. I've searched the forums for advice and done the right mixture. I've tried sugar-free jello, cocoa and hot chocolate, but nothing seems to work. No smell at all! Please help, I wanted to show this technique at my stamp club but only if it really smells.

TIA, amy

We just did this technique at the last workshop I attended. The instructions I was given was 1 part sugar-free drink mix to 3 parts embossing powder. I went to good ole' Wal-mart and found cherry, orange, and grape drink mix (great value brand) and mixed up a batch of the grape.

I used clear embossing powder. I stamped "grapes" with the sketch it set with the white craft pad and it turned out great.

Hope this helps!
Wendy

Sugar free jello works the best..........way stronger scent than kool-aid.

Are you using the kool-aid in the envelopes?

I've always used 1 part unsweetened kool-aid to 1 part clear embossing powder. This works great for me!
