I am going to make a paint can for the first time and just assumed that the card stock fit around the can, but it does not. What have any of you done to piece the card stock to make it look good or have you used other paper?
There is a template under resources on the forum page. I have not completed a paint can yet (having trouble getting the handles off) I have read that some of them are done with wrapping paper. Thats what I am going to try when my husband gets around to taking the handles off for me (lol) Hope this helps. Good luck

I put two pieces together and put my seams on the sides under the handles. If I use a solid and a design (like one on the top and one on the bottom) I run a piece of ribbon between them to hide that seam. Hope that helps.
:p Thanks so much for the input. I am actually using the smaller paint can and thought the cardstock would fit, but it didn't. So I may just use some plain brown wrapping paper then layer on top of it. I am making this for my next door neighbor who is a girl scout leader and she wanted a craft to do with other leaders. I am using the retired Girl Power. Thanks again.
