Has anyone done these? I am getting married (!) and I am hoping to do these for my invites. Do you have a template and or a pic in your gallery you could share. TIA!!
i searched ALL over the internet for links and templates and i found a lot. i am going to make wedding invites for my brother/SIL to-be for their june wedding
here's a good link http://www.designedbychance.com/pocketfoldbio.htm
i hope that helps, i also checked out the gallery here for inspiration......um, i think it was under anything but a card! theres tons of pages but i looked at them all. I think i'm going to use a stampin up wheel, a springtime themed stamp set, (i think Garden Whimsey) and i have to hunt still for the right sized paper
I was going to make mine, but I checked on mygatsby.com and their price is pretty darn good. I'm just going to have them print them (especially since I wanted the insides professionally printed anyway since the home print ones weren't turning out as nice as I expected). You may want to check out the site and see if you'd rather just order them. They do sell you samples, and the sample price is a bit high ($10-15). BUT, the sample comes with a full selection of all of the paper that they can use for your type of invites. I was impressed with the sample I got. They have some really nice paper with a good weight and texture and literally each color is different, so you really should order a sample if you plan to print with them. I think you can also order only the pockets from them if you want to stamp on them afterwards. I've just done enough bulk work that I try to cut corners on my time and effort where I can! Good luck!
I think it would be great for a wedding invite - with it having 2 pockets, you could include an RSVP sheet as well as the actual invite. But it may be too much work depending on how many you'll need to make!
Those are adorable FusbyRuth! Thanks for all the helpful links brooklynsmom. I was thinking something like this www.cardandpockets.com
I'll print out the RSVP, directions, Hotel info cards, and the other side will be the traditional wedding invite. I just think I should be able to do it for less than $3/invite. Here's hoping!
I found a really fun one on twopeasinabucket...check it out!
I forgot to mention that I made a mock one up with pink and silver for a friend of mine and I used 8.5x11 paper! I won't have to order special paper in and they will fit in a medium whisper white envelope! PERFECT!

Just search the gallery for wedding invitations or wedding announcements, or even pocket fold. I found several examples in the Splitcoast galleries and got lots of helpful information about where to purchase the specialty papers and the square envelopes. The knot.com is another place you can go to find templates and ideas for pocketfold invitations.
I did pocketfold invitations for my wedding last spring, but I couldn't fathom making 110 of those darn things, so I ordered them from www.cardsandpockets.com
They were only $1 a piece, very well made, and well worth it! Great customer service! Speedy shipping! Great time saver!
For my bridal shower I did make smaller pocketfold cards, and that was enough work for me!!
I did my daughter's wedding invitations and ordered the pocketfold cards from http://www.cardsandpocketsstore.com They were $1 a piece, but I typed, printed out, measured and cut out all the information to fit into the pocket folds. It did 100 of them and everyone thought they were so unique. I will post them tonight to my Username: Imastamping
