Smile prescription bottle sewing kit

I think I saw a pic of a traveling sewing kit made from old prescription bottles here...but I can't find it anywhere now. Does anyone remember seeing it?? it may have been on someones blog. It was VERY cute! I would love to make them for our teachers. Thanks!

Sounds like a cute idea - and I have empty prescription bottles. Hope someone posts a link.

<thwack!> on the forehead.... Darn it, lol! I just KNEW it! I tossed a bunch of empty rx bottles yesterday and thought as I was doing it, "There's gotta be something cool I could do with these..." Sheesh....well, I favorited those from the link Angie posted, so there's always another chance. THanks, Angie!

They are cute but I thought of two things. #1 don't use childproof ones with a larger scalloped circle on top. THe pressure needed to release the lid will crush the paper. #2. I think the orange colour isn't very atractive personally. Maybe use white/ translucent bottles? If you have no little ones in your home, I believe you can request ordinary lids and these often go on different bottles. The pharmacist may even sell you some cheap! I like the Little white jars for creams; they would work well.

Oh, one more thing. Be sure you remove the label, don't just cover it up. You don't want anyone knowing your personal info!!
