Slit Punch to Scallops-How do you do that??
I must be really dense, I just can't figure out how to use the slit punch to make the scalloped edges. Would someone be so kind as to explain it to me?
I saw a circle one done on today's (6/25/07) Stampin' Up! Stampers Showcase done by Kathleen Hilden. Hope to hear from someone soon.
When using the slit punch to make scallops, the trick is to use a narrow piece of cs because you want to punch on the OPPOSITE side of the cs. For the circle, you would cut a circle and then another circle around it so the center is missing. Then you would use the slit punch (from the inside of the circle) to punch on the outside edge of the circle. I hope this makes sense to you!
Jana, thanks for explaininng this! I was as stumped as the others on this one. I get the idea of the circle now! I would never have figured that out on my own! Many, many thanks! I'm off to try this!

Thank you, Jana. Great explanation. I tried it and it actually worked for me. Michelle Laycock's tutorial has pictures and is a fabulous explanation.
