Default Sour Creme Containers

Hello .. I've seen these wonderful projects made of the sour creme containers. Could someone tell me what the size of the paper is. I know someone had written to use 1/4 of the sheet. That seems to be a bit small? Or is it just me? :? Could someone help me please!

Thanks

I think it depends on how big you want it. Experiment with different sizes to get what you want. I like the 1/2 page size for some things.

If you just want it for a Hershey Kiss or something, the 1/4 page size works well.

I hope this helps!

I know this is stupid....but I thought I'd share....you can share stupid stuff amongst friends!

I will start with MATH IS NOT MY THING!

When I first read quarter sheet---I divided the sheet into four colums. So I had four long skinny rectangles.....Tried to make the container and I couldn't get it to work. So, if you are doing it that way it does seem small!

Then I figured out to cut it into four quarters like 4 1/4 x 5 1/2--that worked great! Perfect size! It's still little...but it works great!

So...just in case you are having a Jessica Simpson Moment, like I was, I thought i would clear it up!

Good luck!

Sour Cream containers are cute little packages made from 1/2 sheets of cardstock.

I've looked at a bunch of samples of these cute little things, but I can't find specific instructions - can someone help?? I'm not real good with this 3D stuff!!

Thanks so much!

Susan---

Cut your paper to the size written above(see my previous post). Decorate(the wheels work great!)

Then put mono adhesive on three sides...the two short sides and one long side. Roll it up(long side to long side) so it looks like a toilet paper tube.

Then pinch the bottom to seal it....Use your paper crimper to give it a good seal and a cute edge.

Fill it up with something small---Kisses or M&M's work great. Then pinch the open end the opposite way. Run that end through your crimper.

These are really easy and really fast. They sound much more complicated than they are!

Good luck!

FYI: I've made a few of these and have had problems with the mono NOT sticking . I've gone to double sided tape instead which holds MUCH better  Good luck and have fun!
