I've been thinking I want to try this too, so if you figure it out let us all know!! but I was thinking about experimenting on a piece of glass from an unused picture frame. that way if it doesn't work I've only ruined a $1 frame and not a $200 window.
but here's what I was thinking to do to experiment. I want to try staz-on because even though it will dry on glass it also can be removed with a solvent (I'm hoping this also applies to removing it from windows). I'm also going to try craft ink. so I was thinking I'd stamp the frame w/ stazon on 1/2 of the frame, and craft ink on the other 1/2 and let it sit for about a month, then see if I can get it off. whichever one seems to work the best I'll test on a tiny corner of an actual window b-4 I ruine one. so I haven't even started the testing stages yet, but in a couple months when I'm done messing around I'll let you all know if I found anything that worked.
however seeing as how my windows are actually fiber glass which I don't have any extra of I wonder if it'd just be better to stamp an inconspicuous corner with something tiny?? anyway I'm obviously still in the planning stages of my experiment!
so if anyone's already done the testing please share! it may save me some time. thanks

I usually heat set mt stazon when stamping on dominos. So I'm thinking if you use it to stamp on a window, the sun beating down on it would heat set it, and make it harder to get off. I swear by those mr clean magic wipe sponge thingys, and I bet those would take it right off. Sry thinking out loud here, lol.
My daughter has the markers that you can color on windows. Regular window cleaner wipes this off. How about using these and coloring on the stamps with the markers?!
Just my thoughts here... but I quickly thought that if you sample on a frame that would be different than a window in that the window has temperature and moisture variances that a fram dosen't....Also beware of using a heat gun on a cold window to heat set....you may end up with the technique called shattered glass! Just a thought.

lol! shattered glass! that was a good one! I love the idea of coloring stamps with markers made for windows. where'd you get 'em? what are they called? how can I get some too?
here's my latest thought. what about window paint??? I've never used it. but I wonder if it would be good to put on stamps and then stamp w/ that on the window? I'm gonna go shopping and hopefully experiment this weekend. thanks!

Michelle- I pm'd you that the markers are made by Crayola. Are called "Window FX". My DH bought them for DD and I will ask him where and post again then.
I stamped on a glass candle holder about a year ago at stamp camp with staz on and noticed yesterday that it will scrape right off - I think I'll try it on a misc. piece of glass and see what happens. What a great idea, I never thought to stamp on the windows!!!
