Default Stamping on onesies...

I've been quietly lurking on this site for a few months now and have been loving it. Unfortunately, I've run into a bit of a problem that I really hope someone can help me with. I'm sure I saw awhile back a onesie that was stamped with craft ink and iron-on transfers. I know it can be done with Staz-on, but I live no where near a craft store to order any and I ache to display this at my next workshop. Thanks in advance!

You can stamp with craft ink directly on the onesies if you wash and dry it (without fabric softener) and then heat set it with an iron (no steam). Then put it in the dryer if you want to set it a little extra. Another option I have is done is stamp on an iron-on transfer with a classic stamp pad and then iron-on per the directions. The only problem I have had with this technique is it cannot be a solid image. My colors have bled after being washed then. Otherwise, contact a local Stampin' Up! rep. We sell staz-on ink! Hope this helps you!

Smile Onsie help?

I looked at that same post and photo. Here is the photo you are looking for. I used stazon and did not like the turn out of the finished onesie. I used soft fabric paint, I spread it out thin on a plate then placed my stamp on it like a ink pad. I also made my son a shirt using this technique and have washed it 5-6 times and outcome still looks great. Hope this helps you.

Why not just use Craft Ink and heat set it with a heat tool? My sister had some success with this the other day, and I'm hoping that it will stand up to washing!

If you can believe it, I am an SU rep (only a newbie though)--just haven't ordered the Staz-on yet. I'll try your suggestions and hope that something great comes out of them. Thanks a bunch!
