Smile Thank you

Thank you so much!! One of our demos did this for a booth at our Fall Fun Event, and it was awesome! I wrote down how to do it, but I love having printed instructions and pictures.

I've just used the 2-way glue pen. I'm not a big fan of glue sticks.

Sharen, I run my frames through my Xyron create-a-sticker 150. Makes it SUPER easy.

This is what I also do - I always look for a way not to use glue. I still haven't found a glue that I love.

I too ran mine through the Xyron. I also tried it with a 2 way pen. Worked fine.

I just had to try one of your tag punch starbursts, Donna! Thanks for sharing these wonderful instructions! The two-way glue pen worked fine for me, too.

Here's my starburst.

Thanks so much for sharing. I had my stamp club last weekend and had a card I created from the instructions sitting on the table. They didn't even want to see what I was teaching. They wanted to see the starburst. Many have changed their Christmas cards now LOL! Thanks again!

First of all. Shadow Mill - I love your starburst creation! And thank you so much for the instructions!

Second...

Can anyone tell me which tag punch I need to order? I have the one that came with the punch box, but I don't know if the one I have is the small or the large one.

Thanks!

Lyn,

If you have the one that came with the punch box, you need to order the Small Tag Punch (108264).

Very cool indeed! I am not that creative either, I'm afraid--a tag punch is a tag punch to me as well!

I love looking at everyone's cards. They are amazing. I don't have the SU tag punches and tried to make the card with what i have but they didn't line up or work as well. Is it only the SU punches that work for this design or do others?

I'm sure other punches will work as long as they are size coordinated!!

Of all the techniques I've seen this rates a #10 in my book. This is definitely the WOW card of the season. Thank you, thank you Donna for sharing your wonderful creation!!

I would be MORE than happy to punch out 16 frames for anyone who doesn't have the tag punches. Just PM or email your address and your choice of color.

Just a warning - you KNOW you will have to purchase the punches after making one of these stars!!

Thank you! I think this is the kindest offer.
This starburst design is very WOW and I'm so desperate to try it that tonight I hand cut out 16 frames with a small degree of success.
Thanks again to Donna.

It's hard to believe there might be someone who hasn't dropped by yet and looked at the unofficial tutorial, but just in case... There's now a more official tutorial with more pictures at:

Default Different take on Starburst

Valita posted today about a fun Santa she made. She used the starburst idea but used circle punches to create her pom pom on Santa's hat and also a starburst for another card. Check it out.

I love these starbursts too! I was wondering if anyone has come up with any clever ideas for all of the tags I now have punched out. (Besides the obvious, of course!) It would be fun to generate a nother project out of the tags from these... Anyone...???
