how does everyone cut out their tags that they use on cards? I love the examples that are mounted with a couple of different colors. But what is the best way to do it? They never look quite "right" when I try to free hand them.
I see that Coluzzle makes a bunch of different tag templates. I also know that their is a tag punch, but that would only be one size of a certain tag. I thought about the tag punch outs that Stampin Up sells too. But then I would be limited to just what colors come in the package.
Anybody have a great solution for me? How do you it?
Thanks so much!
NOt sure if you have a sizzix machine. But there are a few different styles and sizes you could use with it. I love mine. They have a set of Sizzlits and it comes with 4 different tag styles.
You can use the layer ease tool available from SU to make a tag slightly larger than the one you got from the tag punch. That way you can make then in any color you wanted.
I don't have a sizzix machine, but that would be really neat! I don't have the tag punch either. Boy, don't get me started on what I don't have...we could be here all day! :?
any other ideas??
There are some templates that you can download at Red Castle web site
Sorry I don't have the url but you can find it on Gingerwoods links. Hope this helps

I have the coluzzle tag templates and I really like them. My template has 3 sizes of 3 kinds of tags. Plus if you want them in different sizes, you can move the template around and make them narrower or longer or whatever.
I know a lot of people don't like the coluzzle, but I find it pretty easy to use -- and I am all thumbs!
I have a tag punch, too, which I like -- but like you said, it's just one size.
I found 2 tag punches (same shape/different size) at michael's that I bought on 2 different weeks with my 40% off coupons. Now I just use them with my SU paper and have any color layered anytime. I do like their tag sheets for the variety of sizes and shapes though, but I wish there was more color choice. Kathy

Does this set layer nicely?
I have the Sizzix, and the regular size 3-tag diecut. I use it all the time, but I'm disappointed that they don't layer well. The holes don't match up to layer, if that makes sense..

Thanks for the tips on the Coluzzle templates. I have been wondering if anyone likes them or not. I have a nested circle and oval for cropping photos and I like them. I haven't looked at their stuff in awhile, but they really have allot of neat templates now.
I may have to give them a try!
I also love the coluzzle tag template, it's the one I use the most. I also have a few quickutz tags, a few diffterent tag punches and my LSS has tons of different tag dies you can use with the big diecut machine in the store. I bring in my scrap paper and cut lots to have on hand. If I'm I'm stuck for a different size I'll just cut one myself. I LOVE tags so I make sure I'm well equiped!
