Finally drove the hour + drive to the Target closest to my mom but no luck with finding them. Luckily my friend Linda was able to get me some back home-Thanks Linda!! Did find some interesting floral wrap at Michael's though. It comes in a huge roll (21" x 8'). It resembles the metallic mesh that SU! has now. I figured it might look nice on a card so picked up a couple of rolls at $2.50 each. Also found some interesting Martha Stewart ribbon at Kmart for a good price so the drive wasn't a total loss! I'll keep looking for the boxes in case someone can't find them at their Target or doesn't have a Target near them.
Happy New Year :!: :!: :!:

Default Found them in the Inland Empire

For those of you in the Inland Empire of SoCal, the Target in Fontana (at Sierra) has about 20 packages. So many they were falling off the racks!

I found them at my Target in Coeur d'Alene. I had to pay $6.00. :( I was glad I found them though.

I’ve been looking for these ribbon boxes for a couple of weeks. I finally gave up after being told that only Target Superstores carry them.

Nevertheless, sometime ago Martha demonstrated how to make your own ribbon organizer. So, I’ve attached a link for those of you that are interested.

Default Ribbon holder

Hi there!

This is my first official post - so I hope I do this right.

I bought some boxes off the internet a few years ago to hold my ribbon. To hold the dowel inside the box, there are two nuts glued to the inside of the box. The dowel fits inside the nut holes. Very easy to remove when you need to.

This is what it looks like. I can send a picture with my digital camera if it doesn't make sense.

I went to a Target Greatland and picked up a Ribbon box - I also wanted to get a Card file box but alas they were all sold out...I did pick up one of the accesory boxes - I figured I could store odds and ends in the box...

I got it home and found out it fits the full sized ink pads perfectly!!!

I am slowly starting to buy full sized ink pads here and there (love my spots) so I don't need storage for a lot of ink pads - I figure I can fit at least 12 in one box... and the box will be easy to take with me if need be - just wrap a rubber band arond it to keep the top on.

I only have 3 full sized ink pads right now and in the accesory box I can fit my 2 sets of Spots and 3 ink pads with some room left over - I am willing to bet I could get at least 1 more set of of spots in there - if not 2 more...

I am going to go look for this today! Thank you for the info and wish me luck. The last good find that was posted here for Target, I was unable to locate. It was for the heart shaped brads--perfect for Valentines Day. I did luck into the swirl shaped paperclips which I cannot wait to use.
Thanks again.

Wanted to let you know that I had a hard finding this! At the Target I went to it was located on an end cap around the cards, stationary, gift wrap. It is with other gift wrapping organizational stuff! It is really cool, now I just need to get more ribbon to go in it!

IF anyone has an extra or can get an extra, I would gladly pay shipping to have it shipped tome. The nearest target to me is about 2 hours and I really need something to store ribbon in. This box looks like it would go good with my office decor.
Please PM me

I also have looked and looked and cannot find this item. Argggg
Does anyone still have one in the wrapper with the bar code on it? I'm curious what the numbers are under the bar code to see if I can find it on-line or take the number into the local Target and see if it's even in their data base. It sounds like there are multiple areas where this can be located and I've checked them all...TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't find it at my local Target and I had to go accross town to the bigger GreatLand one...

Maybe it is something they are only putting in their "bigger" stores because they have the space?? or maybe they are testing them out there first?

The ones I got at the Greatland were on an endcap.

I found them and I'm sooooooooooooooo in love with them. I bought 3 of them and plan on getting two more !! I'm a ribbon fanatic.

Just one word of warning - open them up and put them together as soon as you get them. I did two and put all my ribbons in and when I did the third it was missing one of the end pieces. Back to Target for an exchange.

I purchased them from a brand new Target (about 6 mo old) not a super store or a greatland store. They were on the endcap on the main aisle in the scrapbooking department.

By the way, did you look at their scrapbook stuff ?? Really cute stuff - I was very surprised considering they never really wanted to go into the craft business.

Anyway, I highly reccommend them. Much easier to put together than making your own box.

Thanks again for the tip - it was so worth my time and money to pick these up.

Default Greater Sacramento area

Has anyone in the greater sacramento area found the Target ribbon boxes? I've checked both stores in Roseville & no luck finding them so far.

Does anyone that bought one remember the brand name or have an SKU #?

Default Sacramento Targets

That is the next closest Target to me as well. If I'm able to get over that way I'll let you know as well. Prbably won't be until this weekend. They have a great scrapbook store in that area (Mad ABout Scrapbooks) that also carries some limited stamping supplies.

Kewl...

I will PM you with my phone number. Speaking of scrapbook stores, have you been over to Scrapbook Station in Loehman's or Stamper Corner in Elk Grove? Stampers Corner has everything you could think of plus more, and if they don't carry it they will order it. I love that place! We should go on a field trip... lol

Wondering if along with the SKU if you have a name of the company that makes these Wrap Organizers for ribbons. My Target doesn't have these nor does the one that my daughter checked at. Thanks. Irene Kuiper

Great find, Julie!! Thanks!! I went to the SuperTarget by me (in Westminster) and they had plenty! I searched the whole stack to see if there were any with 2 in them by mistake, but no luck. But I just love the ribbon organizer. I also picked up a card organizer! Can't wait to put these to use! Thanks so much for letting us know! - J.

After reading this post at the end of last week, I went and got one! I use a pants hanger in which the racks each slide out individually for myself, but I got one for a customer to give her during Sell A Bration. I haven't been "booming" in business since I moved, but just enough to keep my head above water, mostly because of her. She just purchased some ribbon, too, so I'm looking forward to giving it to her! I looked all over and thought our regular Target didn't carry it, until I looked at the FRONT endcaps.

I never heard about the heart shaped brads, Laurel, I'll have to be on the lookout for those! I got the circle paperclips, though.

What a great idea - would have never thought of that. Still haven't found the ribbon box at Target so I may have to try this. Especially since I just bought 10 sppols of ribben at Michaels for 20 cents each.

after not finding them at regular Target, I found the ribbon and card organizer at a target greatland on a visit to indy to see my sister.

i got one as a back up to the 4 dowels of ribbon I attached to a dresser I refinished to store my craft supplies.

sidenote: I love the container store!

Has anyone been on Target.com lately? I went looking to see if the ribbon holder was on there and found all sorts of cool organizing things including a craft desk!

Default Ribbon Organizer & other buys

Wow! I just got on after the site being so slow the last couple of days! I was going to post a great buy at Target too!
I too got the ribbon storage boxes (bought 10 but doubt I will use them all!)
And I also got some expandable check, coupon, and file folders that are clear. They were in the $1 days section in the front of the store. I plan on stamping directly on them with Stazon or stamping an insert for the front and backs. I will use them as hostess thank you's and door prizes.

Okay, so I just read this thread and I love the box. Living in Hawaii, we are not fortunate enough to have a Target, but my sister loves going shopping for me. I gave her a call, emailed her the picture and she's on her way! She's even picking up a few for herself. I hope they still have them. Thanks for the tip!

not sure if this is posted elsewhere in this thread but just an FYI, these boxes are flat when they are in the store, they are in a cello bag type of thing and were on a back endcap (aisle end) at both of my local targets. I kept looking for the box to be put together and look like the picture and I missed it each time...hope this helps...

Default Target Ribbon Holder

Well, I figured I would reply on this one also. I went to my "regular" Target today and they had tons of them. I bought two and organized my ribbon in them. I just love them! I'm going to go buy at least one more. How many do you think we would need to fit all the ribbon in them that SU carries? Carol

Is it still possible to order the 100 yd rolls of ribbon - apparently I missed the original post. If so, I would like the link. Thanks.
