I had my friend pick me up 2 of the ribbon organizers and I absolutely love them. Makes it really nice to be able to keep them organized. I would recommend them to anyone who has a lot of ribbon. Plus, I think I will use more ribbons now that they are organized and easily accessible.

This is how I organize my ribbon. Since I"m trying to collect them all, and I need them handy, the Target box wouldn't be enough. But I bought one as a gift for a friend after reading this thread!

My daughter and I had no luck finding the ribbon organizers in Ohio. I am in the northwest Toledo area and she is in Columbus where they do have the super stores. But my dearest SIL Denise found some in Michigan and bought out the store for us.
I love mine and I have four of them set up in my craft room. They are a great way to organize the riboon, they look great and take up very little room.

I have kind of a stupid question about the plastic ribbon holders from Target. I have three of them now and just love them. Is there a trick to how to keep the rolls from sliding back in the containers?. The smaller rolls slide back on me all the time and the pieces of ribbon hanging out keep going back inside. Carol
i've been using double sided tape and taping the ends of the ribbon down. but the other night i thought i might get a large rubber band and put it around the box and then the tail of the ribbon can come out of the box, down the front and tuck under the rubber band. does that make sense?
I just did the rubberband thing and it seems to work. Thank you so much. The idea of the ribbon on the hander is nice but I don't have any room to hand it so the boxes work great for me as I have room in my closet for them were most of my stamping is stored. Carol

What is this exactly? That's a neat idea! ...does the bar open and close easily so you can add more or rearrange ribbon quickly? And, where did you find this = what store and dept?????
Stampinbird- It is a Slacks Hanger from Walmart, in the Home Organization section. I think it was $4.99? The little bars all detach individually so you can pull the ribbon spools off without having to take the hanger down. Someone here posted that they purchased one and had to peel off the plastic coating to make the spools fit, but this one didn't need any work, just hang it up and slide them on! I have it on an over-the-door hanger, too, so it's easy access but you don't see it when you walk in the door.

Those are called trouser hangers. I got one at WalMart a while back for around $5, I think. I peeled the rubber off the bars and store my wheels on them. I'm going to be getting another one for ribbon as well. They are GREAT!

You can find those at any Target or Walmart or Lowes, etc. They should be in either the bathroom aisle (like with robe hooks and stuff) or maybe in the Home Storage aisles with the rubber storage bins or ironing boards and stuff. They are really inexpensive, too!

I just came back from Target, and found not only the ribbon holders, but also card holders, and a neat box for my desk(if only I could find the top of my desk!). I do have question, if any body can tell me how to keep ribbon by the yard in these boxes? I have lots of bolts, and lots of yards.
I live in Lewisville, TX and Target has these on the end cap at our store, just in case anybody needed to know!
I found the Ribbon Organizers here in Corpus Christi, just how you gals had said--packaged flat on an end cap. Thanks! The Pant holder that is pictured in the thread is great! for wheels. I have two and they are completely full (already need another). You do have to take the vinyl coating off of each rung. They hold 7 wheels per rung making it a total of 28 reg. wheels. I leave my handles on a wheel and slide that on so that I don't lose my handles! Obviously I cannot fit 7 wheels on the rung that has the Jumbo wheels and handle.
p.s. Is Rung the correct word! :?
I went to Target.com looking for the ribbon organizers- didn't find them- but I did find lots of other nifty stuff. Who knew? And I worked there for 5 years! Just search for craft tables.

Yesterday I purchased some great metal pails in the dollar section at Target. They come in pink, red, and white. Some of them had heart cutouts, others were plain. Someone posted some pictures of her's decorated for Valentines day with a shaker tag. It was Great! Kudos to the artist! I will try to edit this post and place the link here.
Thanks for the info. I'll go by tomorrow after work. I hope ours has some. I have mine all stuck in a drawer and they are forever getting jumbled up no matter how much I try to organize them. This would be great. I do have some in a photo box, but this would be really great.
I went looking for the ribbon organizers today and found them right on the back end-cap in stationery. It looks like my Target just set them this week, so if anyone else has been looking for them- try again! If you still can't find them try asking an employee to check a backroom and a floor location for this number: 053 02 1453. That will give you an exact answer if the store has them.

thanks for all your help! I'll prob. hit Wal. today and Nayvywif, I love your avatar!!
Okay, here's another find I just ordered! A website where I like to buy brads and eyelets that I use for personal use sometimes had this on sale for $16.95 ($18.95 for the Pink one) and I just ordered it today! Today was the last day for the sale, though, but I thought I would share:

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was at Target on the weekend and at the front of the store in their "NEW" $1.00 section, I found small CD cases with little trinkets in them for kids (patches, magnets, pins, etc.) But what is really cool about these CD cases, which are about 3 1/2" x 4 "....is that they have the little "lip" on them to make those cutsie calendars....I made one and they are really neat. Would be cute for a hostess thank you. They are only $1.00 and I just threw away the trinkets inside.
Wow! I made it to Target tonight and found those Wrap Organizers for rolls of ribbon. Also they have another organizer with 3 compartments and a card organizer. Really cool stuff. I also found these little metal purse type containers full of beads and glass embellishments. Starry Skies has glass stars - purple & silver; Pretty Pastels has flower beads - purples and pinks. Great stuff! I had so much fun looking around for new stuff.
