Default What to do with SU! Lumiere??

I was wondering if anyone could share a few ideas or recipes for mixing/using Lumiere? I have a full jar that I haven't touched, b/c I am not sure how to use it! I don't want it to go to waste! Please help!

Can anyone point out an examples in the gallery using Lumiere on SCS?

Thanks in advance!

There are two techniques I know about. The first is Magic Rainbow, which I first saw in Technique Junkies newsletter. You stamp with the Lumiere by painting it on your stamp, then stamping on dark cardstock, cleaning your stamp immediately and then brayer over the lumiere once it is dry with a brayer and spectrum pad. The color shows up on the Lumiere. You have to go over it a few times and each time it gets darker. Here's a sample:

On glossy cardstock Lumiere resists ink beautifully, so you can stamp and brayer over the top. I also came up with a technique which was featured in the last issue of Technique Junkies called Mother of Pearl. Scrunch up saran wrap, dab it in Lumiere, then dab all over your glossy cardstock. Then brayer with a color after it is dry. If you use Going Grey, it looks much like mother of pearl does, but you can use any color. Here's a sample of both these techniques on glossy cardstock in one card:

you can also mix your pearl ex with it and use it to paint an image or paint on acetate

I've used Lumiere this way... Stamped a butterfly image on shimmery white CS. I embossed the outline of the butterfly in black. I mixed Lumiere with (gosh, I can't remember what it's called right now) a pearl powder (okay, now that's going to bug me all day!!) to make a paint. Then, I colored the butterfly in with watercolor pencils and painted over that, the Lumiere mixed paint. I have had so many compliments on this technique. It truly is very classy looking. Hope this gives you just one more idea!

I just purchased both petal point chalks and I'll bet they would be gorgeous done this way, too!

Default Lconklin ...

Maybe you're thinking of PearlEx or Perfect Pearls or even mica powder.

When I was at a workshop we used Lumiere to prepare our tiles. The demo you could use it instead of baking them. That was my first experience with it though.
