A stampers get-together, you bring all the parts and pieces to make a card in a box. Along with inks and stamps. Pass them from person to person everyone making one of each person's card. You bring them in a "shoebox", that's where the name came from.
First time I read that I pictured people swapping shoe boxes! Stamped on of course!
When my group of demo's gets together to do a shoebox swap, we pick a place at the table, get out all our stuff to do the card, & set up the sample. Then WE get up and travel from shoebox to shoebox. That way, you don't get people's stuff all mixed up and you aren't constantly putting things in a box & removing them. It also gives you a chance to move around instead of sitting for along time in one spot.
Kim how funny I thought the same thing. You know we have card and tag, etc. swaps and this was called a shoebox swap so I thought you traded decorated shoe boxes and that I really could not understand.
