Hi! I am an SU Demo, and if you don't have one and want to order some glossy cardstock, please PM me and I'll help you out. If you are using regular white or vanilla cardstock with a brayer, you need the foam attachment. That is the only one that will work well for what it sounds like you are trying to accomplish on regular cardstock. SU has those as well.

Let me know if you need help.

Blessings,
Valerie

SU sells Glossy Cardstock. I have used Glossy Photo Paper in a pinch and did not have any problems. Some of the ladies said they can't watercolor on it but I did with no problem. Must say that the SU is the best though.

I looked high and low to find glossy paper locally and couldn't find a better deal than SU. Someone once posted that some photo paper might work if you are in a jam!

Thanks for all of your help. Sounds like I need to get with my demo to find it. I tried wax paper resist and rubber cement resist today. Wax didn't tranfer and I got a good result on rc until I tried to remove it. That did not happen at all. I was also using the rubber attachment. Do I need to use the foam one? Is there a difference?

I too have found SU to be the best(glossyest). I have found it at other craft stores but it's not as "glossy".
As to the using photo paper, it does work well depending on brand and technique. I happend to try using Epson photo paper (thinking no problem)
while trying to demo "Joseph's color coat" the paper cracked while trying to emboss. I thought I had done the same with Kodak at one time and had no problem. How interesting chemistry can be.
Happy Spring to all !!!!!

I bought some at my local stationary store...boy did I get ripped off. I finally bought some from SU and realized what a good deal it truly was. I have NEVER bought SU cardstock and I think I just might have to now.

I use King James paper or Kromecote from Kelly paper. It's got a high gloss and great with the brayer.

I just went to our local paper store and found Kromecote (Glossy) in a 250 sheet package. My friend and I split the package but she threw out the packaging. It was white with very small black lettering on it. I don't think it was King James. The point to this is that there were 3 weights of Kromecote available and the heaviest weight (which we bought) works as well or better than SU's. We paid $24 including tax for the package. We both use glossy cs alot and we were very pleased with this find. So, if you have a local paper store (look in the yellow pages under paper), it is worth checking it out.

Annette,

Kromecote and King James are pretty much identical. I love them both. I've been using that paper fo 12 years and can't seem to part from it. I believe I pay that amount too.

Isn't it great paper? Just love it. Now, I gotta have my SU! cardstock for all my colors.

THANKS MARLO! It never dawned on me that the Kromecote name I was looking at was the actual name of the paper! I thought it was the "type" of paper meaning glossy. How funny. I do appreciate your clarification.

I buy all sorts of papers from art supply stores and paper sources. Have no idea why SU! is so much better, but it's my favorite.

I have only found that SU has the best quality no matter where you go for your paper...

Default Glossy cardstock

I was given some good quality glossy cardstock by a printing company that I am willing to trade for supplies.

Default Glossy Cardstock

Paperzone has it over the internet. You can get it in different colors. Art Mart also handles it, but it is not a good quality.
