And a tip -

You can click on SEARCH (look above your post), and type in TEALIGHT LAMPSHADE, or whatever you are looking for, and hit ENTER.

Usually, you'll get a pretty good # of posts with what you are looking for. If you look for the little paperclip next to the title of the thread, you'll know that there is an attachment there. Wheee! Patterns or instructions to download!

Have a happy day!

Stampaholic5, thanks for asking. I was looking for this template, too. It will make a great Christmas gift.

how about cheap places to find the glasses? I tried looking at dollar store places but none of them carry them. Big Lots had some decorated ones that might work but they were still $2 each. Walmart and Target were both useless as well. I'd love to make some but where can I find cheap, plain glasses to use?

I bought wineglasses for $10 a dozen (boxed in a dozen) at Bed Bath and Beyond this spring for my stamp class project. Garden Ridge also has them for $1 sometimes. My customers loved this project.

There is nothing to it! I use different shades of white papers for mine, too. I have one pictured in my gallery using USW and the Botanicals stamps.

Choose a shade pattern you like. Decorate it with your stamps. ( I added Dazzling Diamonds swirls to mine.)

Then I just cut out the pattern with patterned scissors on the top and bottom. The wave scissors work great for this. Leave the short sides of the pattern straight-edged.

I usually use the rectangle punch (in evenly spaced punches) along the bottom side so I can thread some organdy ribbon through it, but that's optional.

To adhere the shade, I just see how I want it to sit on my wine glass and then use a sticky strip to adhere it. I like to decorate the seam with 3 brads. The middle one I only punch through the top layer. The two sides I punch through both layers for extra hold.

I like to emboss or use the dazzling diamonds on the base of my wine glass so that it coordinates with the shade. I also add a wide organdy ribbon bow around the stem.

HTH!

Now THAT is the kind of price I was hoping for! I hadn't even thought of looking there. must be too obvious. I'll see if ours carries that kind of deal. Hopefully that wasn't a seasonal special or something.

I'll try a few more dollar stores, too; maybe just the first two I looked in had different stock or something. The other stores listed don't have locations here in Tallahassee. We might be a capitol city but we're still a pretty small place. Community-wise, that is great. Shopping-wise, it's a bummer.
