Did any of you ladies who have been to CHA see the new Bosskut Gazelle? Sounds a little more heavy duty than the cricut but not sure if it is as versatile. Here is what I have seen so far.
Very cool machine. It looks like it does a lot more than the cricut. It cuts heavy duty materials (like chipboard) and welds and embosses. And you don't need to buy a bunch of expensive limiting cartridges. You use your computer instead. I can't afford it, but it does seem like a super cool machine. Time will tell.

I think the *welds* is in the computer software...where it seamlessly puts the font together so you can cut out a word all together for titles.
Can you imagine having to put on a face mask to protect our eyes for welding of our metal embellishments....teehee I can see it now....sparks flying!!
Cracking up with the thought of the machine welding! Too funny, but your explanation was very enlightening. It is SO out of my price range as well, but then the Cricut has been too. But the more versatile something is and the tougher, I like it more and more! I just want some details and I was hoping some of the gals who went to CHA would give us the inside scoop!
That sounds more like the machine I've been wanting but since I just bought a Cricut Expression and several other cartridges, I already have over $500 invested. I won't be hunting for a new machine to replace my "new" machine anytime in the near or distant future. I would love to be able to "weld" the font together and to use my computer. If I didn't have so much already invested then it sounds really cool.

Now, that would be my idea of fun!!! Especially since I love to weld and make artsy things for my garden!!

I can't tell if it is Wishbladeish and can cut true type fonts, or if it's limited to what you can download from the company. Interesting...none-the-less!

I'm just not into the "machines". I had a Xyron PCS and sold it. I then thought about buying a Cricut or a Silhouette but I seriously couldn't justify it.
$550? For a die cut machine? Is it magic? If I had the $550 to spend, I'd be buying stamps. Not something that would collect dust on my desk.
Does seem a bit steep but it does everything! I want the wishblade (don't have the extra right now). They cut out anything....all the fonts on your computer, dingbats and clip art too!! So it is kinda MAGIC!! LOL
I have the Silhouette, but this can cute chipboard and felt! Wishblade and Silhouette can't cut chipboard and if you compare the next machine up $550 isn't that much. I think the Klic and Kut is one and is around the same price, but they have a bigger one for $1200!! Now that must be a machine! I mostly do scrapbooking and the Silhouette is great and no cartridges, there is software to buy or download free that lets you weld letters.
