If you could only get one set of nestabilities which shape set would you recommend? Which is your favorite/most useful? I have a cuttlebug and am on the fence about ordering these. Thanks.
Hmmmmmmmmm, tough question. LOL!
However, I'd have to say the circles. I have the regular and the scalloped.
I love them (Xmas gift). They seem to fit w/lots of the SU stamps I have.
I just purchased the squares (yesterday). So, I'd have to say circles then squares............then, of course, all the rest. LOL!
Have fun!
Cheers,
Stacy

I've joined the ranks ~ as of today~ I got my order from cut@home ~ I just placed my order on 1/26 & I got them today! Unfortunately, I'm too tired & my area is too messy for me to play tonight... But you better believe that tomorrow I will be playing!!! Already cut a ton of cardstock in anticipation...lol...
BTW, I got Petite Ovals set ~ they look very narrow to me! May have to get the regular ovals next...
I ordered my first set yesterday from Cut At Home also!!!! I got the ovals. Did anybody else notice that they now have petite oval and circle sets. Now I don't know which to use my Feb. coupon on. Do I complete my ovals or do I get a different shape?
Choosing a shape is pretty much personal preference. If your work is more traditional, I'd go with the ovals or the circles. My things are a bit more edgy, so I like the rectangles and then the squares. My style does not go well with the scallops, although I have them. I find that I just don't use them. Just decide what look you are going for and that will help you decide.
I found this somewhere on this site and it works like a charm!

Thanks Becky!!!
p.s. I thought I ordered the large rectangle set yesterday but looks like I actually clicked on the large square scalloped set. I am fine with that though. I can't wait to try them out! woo hoo
I just discovered this thread, and have read through the posts and have looked at the ucutathome site and have signed up for the newsletter. I have received an email that I will receive a monthly 40% off coupon. I have a large scallop circle punch and the smaller circle punches that go inside of them - however, I do NOT have any oval punches - so, I am thinking that this may be the way to get the oval cuts that I SO want. Hmmmm -

You will love any of the sets you get! I ordered the rectangles first since I tend to cut a lot of my House Mouse stamps into rectangles to mat them. I got them today, then today I also ordered the petite ovals set. I like how they are more elongated for use with sentiments. I have the scallop oval and liked it, so figure I will love the different sized ovals! I want circles next, or maybe the regular ovals. Gee, how long is it till March's coupon. HEHEHE!

I'm right there with you! I ordered the large scalloped circles and large standard circles yesterday. I went about getting the circles a little backwards so I know I am spending more for them, won't do that again. I ordered the rectangles complete set last month and hopefully will have it Monday or Tuesday. I have calculated that it will take me 5 more months to get all the nesties that they have available now. With CHA going on, I am cringeing at the thought of any new nestie shapes?(huh, huh?). I want them all now, even though I haven't played with any yet. I had even thought of biting the bullet and just getting them all now but there's too much of a savings with that VIP coupon at ucutathome to do it. The money I save there, lets me buy more stuff.
Read somewhere that nestabilities work better with the Wizard. I have
a cuttlebug also and have hesitated buying any nestabilities because
of this comment.
Hi guys........
I have a question for those of you who have dealt w/Cut-@-Home before.
Please don't 'flame' me, I'm just concerned.
Ok, so I have been on their mailing list for quite awhile. I get the codes, but never purchased anything until the end of January. I placed my order on the 31st. I have been waiting and waiting..........NOTHING. No updates, no notice that it is on it's way. Nothing. So, concerned, I looked up my account today and it appeared that I had already been charged for it. I wrote to customer service and asked about the charge. I rec'd a note (very quickly mind you) that it was just an authorization and not a charge. OK...that's fine. Then when I asked about when it would ship, I got something about they are having problems w/another shipment, etc. and now it's CHA time, so I may be out of luck until AFTER that.
I'm just wondering about this company and it's customer service, promptness of orders getting shipped, etc. It is the very first time I have dealt w/them and even tho I will save the 40%, it was an odd way (in the comment section) to 'do' the coupon code, and now I'm over a week and nothing has even shipped. Had **I** not written to them today, I am guessing that I'd still be in a holding pattern 'til after CHA w/o them letting me know.
IMHO.......this just doesn't seem to be good service.
Has anyone else had any problems w/this company? I had only read good things before and so that is why I trusted to order from them. I'm now a bit concerned.
TIA!!!
Cheers,
Stacy

Stacy, I ordered 6 or 7 days ago and my account says that it is in process or whatever it is. So I am still waiting!!!! grrrrrr
I am not sure what to do. I am thinking I should cancel the order.
I guess the 40% off was too good to be true.
What do you think?
I had read prior to ordering that they were slow with shipments so I knew what to expect. Last month, I ordered the full set of circles and scalloped circles from them on the 19th of January. They weren't shipped to me until the 2nd of February but since I already knew what to expect in terms of shipping times, I was confident that they would arrive.
I am happy to say that I did get them and at the 40% discount and I wasn't charged on my card until they were shipped.
If you're just dying to have them in a week, then placing the order with someone else might be better but you'll pay the full price. If you're willing to wait and are expecting the delay, then you can feel confident ordering from them.
I got my petite ovals within a week of ordering them, but I'm figuring that I put my order in just in time to miss the end/beginning of month rush. Sounds like a ton of people order as soon as they get their monthly coupon...that & with the whole CHA thing taking all the small craft store owners away... anyway, I'll be putting in my order sometime next week for my next set ~ I think the set of rectangles... here is a link to the cards I made with my new Petite Ovals Playful Penguins and Multiple Penguins set.
I ordered two sets of circles and they arrived last Friday. Just looked it up and I ordered mine on the 28th Jan. For me to have them here in Oz on Friday 8th Jan is the best service from the US that I've ever had.
Stick with them, they are so helpful. Probably have been overwhelmed with orders with the recommendations from this site alone.

I placed my order w/ them for the whole set of the ovals, not the petites, the end of Jan. I haven't heard anything either so I checked on my order on their site and it said awaiting shipment. I will get in touch w/ them also and let them know I ordered before CHA and that they should honor that order!
The way these things are flying off the shelves I may have to wait until April before they get another order in. I guess I will just have to be patient. But I wanna play. LOL
I have a ? If you own the cricut do you think you really need these I have seen cards made with these and love them but not sure if its necessary? I have a big shot will they work in this? Do you need anything special for these to work in the big shot?
thanks so much

I ordered a set on Jan 29.. I forgot to use my coupon so emailed and they applied it for me right away.. After they correted it for me, my online banking showed that the full amount was pending to come out.. It never did.. I was not charged until it shipped, then only charged the amount with the discount applied.. Your store acct will show that you have paid, but I don't think you aren't charged until it ships.. I have a 2nd order being proccessed and it is occuring the same way..My first order only took me 9 days to get so I was pleased with that.. I am happy with the whole thing. I have another order in and it is working the same way..
For those of you that are worried about when you are going to get them, all I can tell you is to have faith. You will get them. I ordered my first nestabilites on Jan 12 and received them on Feb 4. These are extremely popular, allot in thanks to SCS. There are not many sites that are able to keep them in stock. You will get them. Ucutathome is very reliable. It said right on their website when I ordered that it could take 1-3 weeks, depending on when a shipment would come into them. We get spoiled with internet sites that offer fast shipping, me too. I want my order tomorrow. This same problem arose when everyone was crazy about getting the clever lever punches. For the person above me, the nestabilities have 3 functions, to cut out a shape, to emboss that shape or to just emboss a card or card front. I don't think the cricut will do that. And yes, they will work in the big shot with a white spacer plate by Spellbinders. Also to emboss, you will need a tan embossing sheet or I have heard some using fun foam and such. The nestabilities are well worth the wait. Look how long it took for the new cuttlebug folders to come out. Hang in there!

Michelle thank so much for your reply. Just one ? I need to buy the white spacer plate even though I have the big shot with the thick white plate? Just putting in my first order so want to get all I need.
Norine
The nestabilities are very thin so they need a little extra boost. The sandwich recipe will be that you use the thick white plate, a clear plate, the white spellbinder plate, the die, the paper, and then another clear plate to cut. To emboss you will do away with the white spacer plate and put the tan embossing plate on top of the paper. If you'd like to read more about the nestabilities, go to Papertreyink and click on Nicole's blog. Then click on spellbinders FAQ. She has listed the sandwich recipe for most of the die cutting machines out on the market and also talks about the dies as well as having great pictures and card samples.

thanks so much just ordered and included the white plate and tan mat
I ordered the classic scalloped circle and reg circle to see if I like them
Thanks for all the info everyone!!! I guess since it is my first time w/them, I was getting nervous. If you all think they are a good company, just S-L-O-W, then I will hang in there.
I'm not happy about the waiting, but am relieved to hear it is "normal". I'm really not in that big of a hurry and saving the 40% is worth it. I guess that besides being nervous, I just WANNA PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! LOL.
Thanks again gals.
....And to the others in my situation, hang in there with me, okay?!?!?
Let's be sure to post when we get them and when we ordered. That way we can get a better idea of this, AND others reading this thread for the first time will know more what to expect from this company.
Cheers,
Stacy

OK gals.............
On this very topic, I JUST rec'd this update.
I thought I would share it w/you all. Looks like we will be waiting a LONG time to get what we ordered. That said, the problem appears to be on the manufacturing/supply end, and not really lying w/Cut@Home.
Patience is difficult when we want to play, but...................
:-)
OK, here is what I got:
I just received word from Spellbinders from Jerry Poffel about the current back order situation on the Nestabilities:
“The huge success of this line has caught us a bit unprepared and, due to growing demand and production holiday schedules, we are out of stock on several of these strong sellers. We expect to have them all back in stock by mid-March and we will ship them out in the order of which we received the orders. We are doing everything we can to minimize this “Out of Stock” period.”
This is important Scrappers. Even though SB is out of stock, I will continue to take orders for all the out of stock Nesties. Please do not wait until mid March to order any out of stock items and expect to receive them immediately. It does not happen that way! Spellbinders and Cut@Home ship ALL orders in the order we receive them. Shipping is ALWAYS done on a first come first serve basis. So you need to place your order so you can get your place in line! Then BE PATIENT. I know it’s hard, but you can do it! And these wonderful dies are worth the wait! Just ask anyone who has used any of the Nestabilities and they will tell you how fabulous they are.
With that being said, here is a list of the out of stock items:
NEST 01 Classic Ovals Set
NEST 02 Classic Squares Set
NEST 03 Classic Rectangles Set
NEST 04 Petite Circles Set
NEST 05 Classic Circles Set
S4110 Classic Oval Large
S4111 Classic Scallop Oval Large
S4126 Classic Square Large
S4127 Classic Scallop Square Large
S4129 Classic Scallop Square Small
S4132 Classic Rectangle Large
S4133 Classic Scallop Rectangle Large
S4114 Standard Circle Large
S4116 Standard Circle Small
S4124 Classic Scallop Circle Large
S4125 Classic Scallop Circle Small
Spellbinders is an awesome company and they truly regret any inconvenience this is causing. They are working tirelessly to try and resolve the back order issue and are putting a plan into motion so this does not happen again. No one could have possibly predicted the enormous popularity of the Nestabilities. Spellbinders and Cut@Home are doing the best we can, and we so appreciate all your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
Thank you and Happy Scrappin!

Cheers,
Stacy

I got the same email...I don't mind waiting. At least they are giving us a "heads up" for it. Hmm....not shipping 'til march. The way I figure it...that gives me $60something more dollars to spend this month.

Snap. Exactly how my bank did it too. Took a week to 10 days to stop being pending though but hey that's fine.

Can someone tell me if you can use these in the original red sizzix and or the big Accucut machine?
I use my nesties with my original red sizzix. You will need the tan embossing mat. Also go to Home Depot, Lowes, etc., get a metal light cover plate (for double switch size) in the electrical dept. When you cut only use the plate cover over the nestie, when embossing use the tan mat then put the plate cover over it. Works perfectly.
When I read the info on the ucutathome site, it was very clear that there was a wait before they ship to you. I knew this and accept this to save myself $22.90 per set. The way I figure it, saving that much allows me to get another set in the long run. I can afford to wait on them. Seems to me that with the e-mail now that you will be waiting anywhere. I got my first order and now I am waiting for my second one, but I ordered the petite ovals, and since they are not on my list I figure I will be getting them once they are back from CHA. I can wait, I have barely began playing with my rectangles and new wizard..lol

WOOPS...meant to post this in another thread as someone was indicating they could not be used in the Sizzix.
