I am thinking of investing in this machines and the die cuts. I would like feedback from persons who currently own them. Is it a good investment? What do you like about the machine the best?
I have the GrandMark (got it on sale) and the MarkIV and love both and use both. The GM is fairly large ( you will want space for this) ,so don't plan on moving it around very much and be sure to get the GM adapter for using dies other than Accucut. Accucut has a great selection of dies in a great array of sizes and though other manufacturers are coming out with dies that are similar, none so far seem to have have surpassed them in the number and the sizes of dies for roller machines. They can be pricey, so I always look for coupon codes of 30% to 50% off all dies and sets and most def-finitely, free shipping ( preferrably 50%, but that doesn't come around very often). I am more of a card and box person, so I love their dies for those items and those are the ones I purchase the most, except when I can purchase a similar die in the Sizzix/Big Shot line at a better price. I don't like having to piece boxes together and most of the Accucut box dies are complete, as well as the card dies, except for things such as card mats and bands and items used to accessorize or that are apart of the closure. For shape cutting dies, I turn to my Sizzix/Big Shot and my Cricut. I hope this helped with your question concerning the "GrandMark".
Thanks Bee....How much are you selling your GrandMark? I really want it for boxes and the pinnovation dies for invitation making and all that. I really want that accucut machine. I am always on the site going through everything and making plans. Thanks so much for your feedback,. It was greatly detailed and appreciated
I'm sorry, I was so trying to stick to the subject that I didn't realize that it appeared that I was selling the GM. I'm no selling it, I purchased it at a sale price...
Sherl, if you're on Facebook, AccuCut is giving away a GrandeMark machine when they reach 3,000 Likes. They're at 2,915!
There are also Facebook Fan exclusives. Right before Christmas, all dies and die sets were 50% off with the FB Fan code. At the moment, we're getting CHA sneak peeks, which is really fun.
My favorite die set so far is the Explosion Box set. I love that the pieces cut perfectly every time and I don't have to piece things together. The Pinnovation dies are awesome, too, and ACC customer service is fabulous.

I just liked the page. Thanks for the heads up on that TheOtherMeg. I hope they have a sale again soon. I have seen the Explosion Box set and I want it soo bad. I am currently making those by hand. Its definitely on my buy list.
I will invest in the machine. Its a great business venture.
First post here on SCS. I love my Grand Marc. I had the Big Shot pro and sold it. The grand mark is huge, I love it, the dies are always going on sale, and there are somany different varieties of dies that can be easily run through the machine. I keep a box for large scraps near the machine so I can easily sort them and use for other projects. They had the Grand Marc for $395 a few weeks back. Good luck finding a great price.
Hi Gale. Yes, the AccuCut dies are just like the wood-backed Ellison dies, so they aren't too thick to go through.
The sandwich is:
AccuCut (or Ellison) die face up
cardstock face down
clear cutting pad
You'll probably need to fiddle with it if you you need to use the crease pad (if your die has creases) or you're cutting thicker material.
The AccuCut Giant dies are too wide for the BSP. They're 15"x18" and can't even go in sideways. These are the only ACC dies that cannot be used with a BSP.
The Super Jumbo dies are 9 3/4" x 15" and the Extra Long Cut are 5" x 15", so, with the BSP Extended Accessories (the ones that come with the purple BSP, but can also be purchased separately), you can use every AccuCut die EXCEPT the Giants.
Not all can be used in the Accucut, the BSP dies for the most part are compatable when you use the Pro adaptor pad and either two cutting mats or a cutting mat and crease pad.
Both sites have compatability charts available. Good luck and enjoy! :p
