I am looking for some adhesive advice. What are some brands and methods that you would recommend? The glue gun is okay for attaching small things, and the two sided tape rolls work pretty good for adhering paper to paper, but I want to KNOW that my cards are going to STAY held together. I am especially interested in methods of attaching paper to paper and keeping it FLAT....Whenever I use glue / glue gun I get those annoying ugly glue "spots" where the paper wrinkles from underneath...and that doesn't look professional at all. So, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
I think a lot of people would recommend the ATG - it's kind of big and unwieldy but the tape is the stuff used by professional framers so you know stuff is going to stay where you put it! I guess it's like the bad boy big brother of the little snail style adhesive runners. I have one and like it. There are lots of threads here about the ATG so if you do a forum search you'll probably turn up lots of useful info and opinion on them.
I have the ATG, just got it and like it. However I am having trouble locating the acid free tape to use. Does anyone know of an online seller for this is Australia please? I must admit I am having a few problems getting used tot he gun but can tell it will be fabulsou. Getting the hang of timing when to take my finger off the trigger so the glue sits neatly at he paper edge is a bit tricky for me at present.
I love my ATG and use it ALL the time - it's sticks hard and fast.
Cotts - I get mine from the US .. from http://www.cropandstick.com/p-300-3m...-908-gold.aspx
About a year ago the 908 gold tape wasn't available here and I've never bothered trying to find it since as the crop and stick girls are just so wonderful. I bought two boxes which are on their way and I hope to get them next week. Yeah, you do pay more for postage but I don't think it would work out all that differently.
Thanks for your help. I have just ordered the 1/4" tape and adjuster for the 700. I have spent so much time looking for an Aussie outlet and you have helped so much!!
Happy scrapping & playing
Regards
Robyn
I have an ATG and it's wonderful. Very, very sticky. I also use a lot of Tombow Mono Multi glue. Absolutely nothing - not even a nuclear blast - will ever part two papers glued with this stuff. It doesn't wrinkle, a little goes a log way AND it's cheap.

I highly recommend ATG!! I have the ATG gun that holds the 1/4inch tape and I love love it. I use it for most things. For smaller things, I use the Tombow liquid glue, because it has a great hold too. One of my friends using the Tombow liquid glue for paper to paper and it doesn't wrinkle up so if you want a good liquid glue, I would recommend the Tombow (I haven't tried the Aqua version, just the plain old white Tombow liquid).
Another vote for the Mono Multi glue in the white and green bottle! I love this stuff. You really only need a very thin line of glue for it to stick tight and wrinkle free.
Good old scotch double stick tape (either in the dispenser or with an ATG gun) has never failed me. I've tried the SU glues and tapes and always had problems with them.
Tombow mono multi glue is what I use all the time now. Very little is needed and it adheres without wrinkling the paper. I actually use itty bitty dots of it around the edges of the paper and/or cardstock.
My two choices are:
Scotch double-sided tape. Strong, never had a card fall apart.
Scotch quick dry tacky adhesive. Also very strong, dries quickly. Use only a small amount or you might get some warping.
I love my ATG tape dispenser & use it all the time. I purchased an adapter & can now use 2 sizes of tape. I also bought a smaller version of the ATG from HL. It is a Permatac by Glue Glider Pro and it really sticks! It is pink & green & if you watch for HL coupons for 40% or 50% off, it is really inexpensive. Without the coupon it sells for $14.99 @ HL.
