Default ATG tape question

I have the tape depot tape gun atg-50. I like it however I really have had a lot of trouble with the tape they sell. So my question is can you use Scotch's atg gold tape in the atg- 50? I know that atg sells two different size tape so is the one that I want 1/4 with 36 yards of tape? TIA

Theresa

Thanks. I have seen that video and it did help me when I first received the atg gun. However for the most part my problem is the poor quality of the tape they sell. That is why I wondered if you can use the gold tape with it.

Bumping because I would still like to know if you can use the 3M atg tape with it. Don't want to invest any money if it doesn't work. TIA

I am almost positive you can use the 3M tape. i think that is part of the appeal - less expensive gun for the good tape.
I got the Tape Depot gun recently and thought I just wasn't getting the hang of it, but I think it is the tape itself. Unfortunately, I got 12 rolls with the gun - so it may be a while before I get through it. It's usable, but not great. Hopefully the next roll will work better.

I have the cheaper gun as well and have the problems. I am hoping it is the glue, anxious to hear from someone who has tried the name brand tape. Just might have to break down and be the one who tries it. lol
