Has anyone ordered from here recently? I am wondering about the "Gold" matching Summer Sun - it sure doesn't look like it would match on their website.

Also, any info on the chocolate chip color?

Julie--I ordered the Gold and just went and held it up to my Summer Sun cs and I think it's a great match. I checked again on a Choco Chip match and their Brown is close, but a LITTLE bit darker. I wouldn't hesitate to use it though, but everyone's taste is a little different. HTH!

Thanks! I'm going to order some...and hope that DH doesn't tease me too much about my latest addiction. I keep telling him that I *will* use it eventually! (LOL)

Heidi (pinkhedgehog here on SCS) has an online store at www.pinkhedgehogpapercrafts.com.

Cheap prices LOTS of colors (87 grosgrain colors). She sells organdy and grosgrain in all widths that match SU, there is also striped, dotted and satin edged. She also carries brads and eyelets custom made to match SU AND storage solutions! Whew!!!

Great service and great ribbons. I own almost 100 of her ribbons!!!

Forgot to mention, she has an excel spreadsheet that compares her colors to SU that she can email to you.

Default color comparison chart!

I have the excel spreadsheet from www.Pinkhedgehogpapercrafts.com. I am going to try to attach it here...

It not only compares SU, but TAC and CTMH as well!

Thanks to this thread, I ordered from The Ribbon Retreat and highly recommend the site for the product and service. I ordered grosgrain ribbon. The ribbons do not come on spools, but are quality grosgrain (have a nice almost sateen finish) and match SU colors perfectly. My order shipped really quick, too.

Same experience here! I ordered in the 100 yd quantity and it came on large spools. I know, 100 yds is a lot but this way I'm not as tempted to hoard. Of course it means I have to order a bit here and a bit there, but it's wonderful ribbon.

I ordered again and quick shipping. Love my ribbon. I am going to try to make hairbows for my daughter and they have all the ribbon matches for Gymboree clothes. Thats my other obsession after stamping

Default I looked at their stitched ribbon.

It looks just like SU. Do you happen to know if the colors match any SU?

I got a copy of her color swatches for their grosgrain ribbon and have been working on matching them to SU's cardstock colors. I was thrilled to match over 35 colors!!!

First, I have to add my disclaimers :
1) These colors match almost exactly (IN MY OPINION!!), though others not listed would also be close matches to compliment the SU paper
2) There may be SLIGHT shade differences
3) I have included some of the old, retired colors for those who still use them
4) I am in no way affiliated with this company...I just saw good prices and selection and wanted to match them to SU's colors

Here's the list that I came up with (Stampin Up's color will be listed first and then The Ribbon Retreat's matching color):
Whisper White/Confetti White= White
Very Vanilla/Confetti Cream= Lt. Ivory
Basic Black= Black
Going Grey= Millenium Silver
Basic Grey= Flannel Grey
Creamy Caramel= Pecan
Really Rust= Nu Rust or Really Rust
So Saffron= Lemonade
Barely Banana= Wheat
Bravo Burgandy/Cranberry Crisp= Beet
Only Orange= Apricot (a little light)/ Papaya (perfect)/ Orange (a little dark)... any of them look great though
Summer Sun= Gold
YoYo Yellow= Yellow
Pretty In Pink= Rose Pink
Regal Rose= Old Rose/ Pink Passion
Cameo Coral= Dusty Rose
Rose Red/ Purely Pomegranete= Azalea
Marvelous Magenta= Festive Fushia
Real Red= Red
Bravo Burgandy= Maroon
Cool Caribbean= Aquamarine/ Robin's Egg Blue/ Light Blue (all match.. just bring out a different hue)
Bashful Blue= Millennium Blue
Taken with Teal= Sapphire
Tempting Turquiose= Mystic Blue/ Misty Turquiose
Ballet Blue= Capri Blue
Brilliant Blue= Dark Royal
Night of Navy= Lt. Navy
Buckaroo Blue= Williamsburg Blue
Bordering Blue/ Almost Amythest= Wisteria
Lovely Lilac/ Lavender Lace= Tropic Lilac
Orchid Opulence= Dark Orchid
Certainly Celery= Celadon
Mint Melody= Mint
Handsome Hunter= Evergreen

BTW--Most of the ribbon comes in 5 yd. lengths or you can order larger spools from their wholesale website (no tax id # needed). Hope this helps someone else!!-- Jamie

I ordered from pink hedgehog because of this thread. Love love love them! They shipped my order the next day. I think I got a little bit of everything - I couldn't stop myself at those prices! I had to throw in a grab bag - it was SO worth it! They even sent me an extra 'mini' grab bag. It was amazing how much was in my box for how little I spent. So glad I happened across this thread!

You guys are such enablers! Don't you love it. Thanks for the great info on the sites. I am going right now to order. I am loving the brads from PinkHedgeHog. I have been looking for some that would match blue bayou and also Twilight from CTMH and I have found them!!!!!! yea! Ribbons and Boys Oh My also has tons of the same ribbon. Good thing I just ordered from them or I might be tempted to buy more ribbon to stockpile to go along with my paper!

I just ordered some ribbon in 5-yard lengths. Cheap Shipping!

Do the 5-yard lengths come one a spool or how are they packaged?

Thanks for all your work! I love that I can get some of the brighter shades of pink and purple-lavender now!

The brown from RABOM is NOT like the chocolate chip retired from SU. It is more darker and richer. SU's chocolate is more like a milk chocolate. I ordered the brown and was not happy with it. They don't really have anything in their grosgrain that is like chocolate chip. I sent a couple of su swatches to see if they could come up with some other colors for their site.
