What's the best paper for coloring with Copic markers? I tried coloring with my brandy-new Copics on SU's Very Vanilla and it bled and generally looked crummy - not really the look I was going for. What do all you Copic experts out there like the best for white and vanilla card stock?
SU paper is made to be used with their pens, water based not alcohol based like Copics. I like Papertrey's white, it's wonderful. For everyday practicing though I went to the office paper section at Walmart and got Georgia Pacific 110lb card stock.
I went onto the Copic website and they use Manga Manuscript paper which I believe you can get at an art supply store. You can definitely feel the difference in the paper even if you have an ordinary piece of 110 lb paper. I was told by someone that the Manga paper has a special coating on it however it does not say that on the Copic website. Just something to check out...
I do not recommend the paper made by Copic. Rubber stamping ink will not dry on it! It is as thin as paper you put through a photocopier, if not thinner. It is designed to draw on, not color in stamps.

It may be the ink pad and not the paper that is the problem. I Use VV with Adirondak ink and have no problems. I also Use Su! WW, Neenah Classis Solar white and Neenah classic Natural.
It can be your ink or your paper; in addition to the PTI Stamper's Select and the GP, you can also try Neenah 80#. I like the Classic Linen when I want an off-white. HTH!
