What size wires/coils do you all like? I want to make some chipboard coaster calendars (the kind that uses 2 coasters--in the SCS gallery) or possibly a little chipboard book for starters.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Now, should I wait and get the new pink addition or go with the blue? I would like to have chipboard covers!
Thanks again!
I'm waiting for the pink one (2.0) because I like the thought of a wider punching channel and the bar to allow you to easily punch all pages in the same location.
Sure it's a great deal but I ordered on 8/31 and I STILL don't have it. Their system shows my order date as 9/3 (and my card was charged 9/5) I emailed 9/9 got this reply, "My first order from Zutter should arrive late this week or early next week and your order will go out directly. Thanks for checking, Michelle"
Bonus for good customer service to reply quickly but there is no indication on the site that you're basically pre-ordering something. Oh well at least I know it's coming right from Zutter. The real bummer is I'm going out-of-town next week and so I'll have to get my neighbor to keep an eye out for the package.
Sometimes with a good deal you have to pay with time I guess.
The only tool you really need is a wire cutter. The tool kit includes things I already have, besides the cutter, like scissors, bone folder, paper piercer, ruler, etc. It's up to you to determine if you need the tool kit. If you don't have the items separately, or if you like to keep all of your tools in one place, you might like having it. JMHO
I actually won a Bind-It-All recently at a scrapbook convention (blue one), and while it's very interesting it's just not my thing. I was thinking of offering it up on eBay or some other such site, but if people here are interested I'd be happy to sell it to someone directly for a good price for both of us. Just PM me with offers. ;)
OK ladies here's my thought. I just picked up the BIA (in blue) at Hobby Lobby today for $36/00 ($60 less 40%). I checked the Zutter website for videos on the best way to use it. Woe and behold I see the new pink one and sat for over an hour watching the videos to see if I really needed to buy the pink one for $65.00 on line or stick with the blue one for $36.00. The biggest difference I see is the ability to punch all pages in the same location. I'm sure I could find the pink one somewhat cheaper than $65 but is it really worth it by the time I pay shipping and handling? Also I'm not planning on making 100 of the mini books at once so is the pink one that much better than the blue? Can I get some feedback on anyone who has the pink one before I open the box on the blue? Thanks everyone!
I don't think anyone has the pink one yet. I ordered one on-line; but the distributor isn't shipping until mid October (at least to the place I ordered it from). I am happy to wait though; well not happy, but you know what I mean!
Anyway, the reason I am waiting for the pink is that it has 35% more "power." In other words it will go through thicker materials. For the project I have in mind that is totally necessary.
Hello Ladies,
I am all excited about getting the BIA. I hope that I can make it till the pink one comes out. Thanks for the info of where to buy online. It will come in handy.
Sara
Hey Ladies!
I finally got the Pink BIA this past weekend. Do you think I really need the book? I did not get it. It would seem that the video would have all the information I would need to operate this thing. What are your thoughts on the matter?

I got it in Greensboro, North Carolina at The Stamping and Scrapbooking Room. Betty and Eric are wonderful. Betty went to CHA in Chicago this summer and she ordered hers then. I got the first one.
I guess I need to start staking out the stores here in Illinois. One of them should be selling the pink one by now, especially since CHA was in Chicago!!!

This just came to my attention and I wanted to check and see if you ordered to blue package, if so and it hasnt been delivered please let me know, I have tracking number and send that on all purchases. If you ordered the pink, it was a preorder, as was clearly stated in my store. There has been a delay on my pink preorder though, and I did notify all my customers and offer them a refund or a choice to wait. Zutter grossly miscalculated their orders on this production and did not have enough pinks to fill all their orders, in fact they told me the majority of the orders that were filled were international, so for those of you who are looking to get it now, I have seen a few on ebay and you might want to check some Canadian sellers. Please contact me via my email or my store. I have sent you a message with my email address.
Just to clairfy I ordered the blue machine and was disppointed with the long shipping time. Great price and communication from you. The box was a little squished but that's on Zutter and UPS (I think that was the carrier). Nothing was damaged and I can't wait to start creating.

I really want one! My birthday is soon and the DH knows but I think he forgot. He knew about the blue one but my fav color is pink! Hum.... what to do?
For anyone near an Archiver's store, they may have the pink Bind it All in stock. I'd call them first, but I got mine there with my 30% off coupon. It came to $52.50 before tax.

Karen- what size coils do you prefer? Would you say 1/2 inch can be used for most projects? Also You have the blue one do you think its worth going for the pink one? I can't decide.
Archiver's is wonderful. If you are ever near one you better go inside. There is one about an hour from me. I like it alot. I always spend to much money when I go in though. LOL They have it all, stamps, scrapbooks, paper, embellishments, die cutters, etc. I can spend quite a while in that store. They do give coupons too.
