Default Best way to store Gel and Souffle Pens

Ok, I just got some new gel and souffle pens what is the best way to store them so the tips don't mess up on me? flat or tip down or what?

Thanks for the help. I have not had good success in keeping these pens alive in the past.

I've always heard to store all pens and markers flat! HTH!

I always store my gel pens point down. I've never had any problems with them.

Funny, where ever they sell them they are always hanging upright. Yet I store them on their side too. Now I'm wondering if they should be stored on their side why the company doesn't just put the hang tap on the side and not the top of the box. humm....

I keep mine in a spare SU stamp case. Keeps them flat and easily accessible/portable.

I have my pens in a container and they are pointed side down. Haven't had any problems yet.

I store them point down. I do that with markers too, unless they are double sided- and then I store them flat.
