You would need fairly large wires to bind a calendar with 12 coasters, but it could be done, I'm sure. To find out how large a wire you'd need, stack your coasters and measure the stack. Allow for brads, ribbons, etc that you will use. If your measurement ends up being, say 1 1/2", then you'd need a wire at least that size. The wire measurements indicate the diameter they will be when closed.
I'm sure there is someone here who has done the calendars with a BIA, but I haven't! I've just done notebooks so far, because they've been so much fun! :-) You'll love your new BIA!
