Which fine-point black marker(s) work with Copics? I have Micron black markers and also the Pitt black markers with a range of fine points. I assume Sharpies won't work well with Copics? I'd like to add some detail to stamped images with a fine-line black marker and then use the Copics.
Yes, Sharpies will work just fine. They even blend together with copics if you need them to. I only have 95 copics, and none of them repeat with my sharpies, so from time to time I use them together.
You can't draw an outline with sharpies and color it in with copics because the sharpie line will bleed. Copic Multiliners are the best, but Microns or Pitt pens seem to work well, though you'll have to test other brands.
I'll try what I have and look into getting a set of the Multiliners as soon as oozak.com has the Spica glitter pens back in stock! Plus a case to put a set of SU color matched Copics into. Can always add enough to reach free shipping level ...
Just a thought, but could you add your black marker after the Copic ink has dried? That way you wouldn't have to worry about it smearing, and you'd save some money, too!
