I am BAD at making decisions!! I have been looking at the Prima Flowers, and want to order some, but I am overwhelmed by the selection! All those cool bottles, all those pretty colors, ACK! Which ones do you like? Which ones should I get? And yes, I know I'm pathetic, and I'm okay with that!
I'm super interested in the answers to this question, too!! I have heard that you can sponge color onto the white ones.
Perhaps that's why everywhere is sold out of them!

I found some at Craft Warehouse, a regional chain here in the Northwest. I bought the medium in Vintage colors. I thought I would like the medium and small best, but now I've seen so many pretty cards, I think I'll try some of the large ones. Probably in ivory.
A great idea I saw here a few days ago was to buy the white ones and sponge them or use reinkers to make them the color you need.
So, Shanon......do you have them all? Can I buy a few from ya!
A good idea would be to go in with a friend and get several different bottles and share the colors! I balked at the price and went to use silk but just can't find the right kind of flower. The primas seem a better buy all the time. I wonder how many flowers there are in a bottle (of the smalls). 100, 200?

Ok, for those wanting to know numbers:
I just counted out 100 from my bottle of mediums--I'm going to estimate that it holds about 500. I couldn't believe how many there were! I had heard people say 200 of the large. It really makes the $6.99 I paid seem like a good deal!
Any Regina, SK Splitcoasters out there want to diversify your Prima stock, let's talk!
I haven't gotten any yet, but Primas are what I want most from EBB Creations and are giving me the toughest time because I just plumb don't know what to order. So, if any Reginans out there want to coordinate an order and then do a swap after, I am game.
ETA I will be following this thread to get all the great advice from those who possess Primas. I love the idea of the birthday flowers kits, but then there are all the other sets too!

My favorites are the Month by Month ones. www.ebbcreations.com has them in stock (at least they did the last time I checked) and has a good price. I also like the white and cream ones because you can customize them.
I like the flower of the month ones too. I've got them all and the bottles were packed tight! Just crammed full. I was worried that my flowers would be wrinkly or smushed up, but they smooth out nicely and I have enough flower to last...well, a couple of weeks at least! HA!

One of the owners of E.B.B. Creations saw how many of us were interested in the Prima flowers so they created a discout code just for SCSers. For 10% off your order use the code SCS-10
Just checked out ebbcreations.com. They have a wonderful selection of the Prima flowers. I love the flowers of the month...had to order all those, and a couple more of the 'got flowers'. I love the idea of customizing the white and cream (would I have thought of that??--probably not). Thanks!!
Okay as if you are not confused enough...Prima is coming out with MORE flowers! They have a new line coming out that has already been advertised in the SB mags, very nice AND tempting! The REAL large flowers in a sweet vanity like container!!!
Me, I bought my flowers at orentialtrading.com they aren't as nice as Prima but they are cheap enough that I was able to get more colors. QVC has a cool 6 bottle set that comes in a wooden crate, not sure what brand they are but they sell for around $30.00, a bit less than usual.
Well, I know I haven't helped the poster with her question but I'm certain I've confused her some more ;-)
I fall into the catagory of "don't own any primas" and I'm SURE I need to change that. How is everyone using them once you get all these flowers? Can I search the gallery for cards w/primas?

I have just ordered some from www.ktcrafts.com
and I have gone for the mixed bottles, I think I went for Summer, blue/brown and I can't remember the third. But I thought that ordering the mixed was the way to go as I don't have any and now I will have 12 colors, as there are 4 different colors in the mixed jars.

This website has good prices! Only $6.25 per jar instead of $6.99. Thanks for sharing.
I've seen that six pack too, and it is soooo tempting! But then I thought about how many flowers are in one bottle and I think I would have a lifetime supply! I'm leaning towards a Springtime mix, but I'll have to check on the summer mixture.
peggysue
P.S. Anyone want to do a prima swap? Should I start a thread?
I ordered the knockoffs from OTC and the Primas Botanical mix from ebbcreations, I haven't received them yet, but I'll be sure to LYK if I see a big difference in quality or appearance.
 yes, you need them all!
personally i like the copper tops and the tins the best. and yes, the white tins you can sponge color onto them. you get 2 different sizes with the tins too, so you can layer them for a great effect ;)
you can also get the flowers of the month. 3 bottles of assorted colors for around 14.99.
Buy the size that is "in scale" with your favorite stamps so they go together and the flowers don't look just stuck on there - too small or too large.
As for color, if you buy a light color, you can whip out your reinker and paint that baby any matching SU! color to coordinate, and add additional visual interest (like a dark center...) If you dont' have reinkers, I don't know why you can't just smush that little flower face down on your ink pad for an instant color change.
I have been delighted with how well Primas take color.
I just got my 2 bottles from KC Crafts yesterday. I ordered the Easter mix pastels, and one of the Summer brights. Very pretty. I'm wondering if they have *less* in the bottle, though? I counted exactly 100 flowers in each, and the bottle I purchased locally last month had at least 150, guesstimating
what I've used and gifted a couple of friends with. I'd be interested to know
how many are in your bottles when they arrive, Ally & anyone else who has ordered there. I liked KCCrafts price and selection--our local shop sold out their 10 or so bottles almost immediately!
I'm looking for Primas as well, & there are SOOOOOOO many to choose from. I was just visiting the ebbcreations site & was going to order just the neutrals. But when I went to check out it said I needed a minimum $10 order. Um, okay ---now I have to go spend more money!! LOL!! And for the first time I was being good, ordering just one thing & now they're making me order more!!!!
So.....now I have to think about what else I want.......

I just took a minute to count my cream primas I received yesterday from KC. There were 200 in the bottle--and my white primas look to hold at least that much. I ordered the Got Flowers bottles, though. Is that what you have? I've seen some of the other sizes of bottles and they looked as though they held fewer flowers.

Jan.stamp and I spent over an hour yesterday trying to decide. After coming up with 7 different jars (that's alot of flowers!), we decided to go check out Paper Zone today for instant gratification. We'll let you know what we get!

Yes, mine are the Got Flowers bottles, same size as the first one I bought
locally. Maybe some of the mixes have fewer in them? Those bottles sure
looks pretty sitting on my stampin table!

I think it also makes a difference which size you are talking about.

Ok, I just ordered the Valentine's bottle because of the pink white and red (I know I'll use all those colors!) Bonus: https://www.addictedtoscrapbooking.com has a coupon for the first $10 free! Yes, you can just order $10.50 and only pay shipping (flat priority mail $5.95) and they are super quick! The selection of Primas isn't huge, but what a deal!!
Here's the code: SBCKNCM and the other one SBSHPPC
warning: the site is a bit slow! But be patient, it's well worth it!
(I found out about this on another post and there were two different codes----I used both!! I'll look for it and add it to this post!)
