I have the Carl Cutter 220e...WONDERFUL does not begin to describe it! If you are a demo you get a deal on it at www.everafterarts.com If you know a demo they can get you the deal... Michael is a wonderful man who is very willing to lend a hand in helping you decide!

I have the Carl RT-215 which is probably smaller than you are thinking of getting. Since it is just for my use (I am not a demo), it is a good size for an individual. It is fabulous and cuts like a dream!......and ever so easy to measure the paper .......Phyllis

Default Spellbinder Wizard

I have a spellbinder wizard and really like it.
My favorite feature is that it cuts other companies' dies. ( with an add-on kit) This is important since Spellbinder does not have a great many of its own dies. It also embosses wonderfully ( with an add-on kit).
From comments I've read some other people have had trouble using it but I have nto had any problems.
I think the going retail price of $149 is a little too much to pay for it but if you can find it on sale its a great tool.

Keri, how often do you need to replace blades/mats on the 220e? How many sheets of cardstock can you cut at once? I am very interested in finding something to make my "cutting" easier, especially if I can cut several sheets at once. Thanks for any answers and advice on the Carl Cutter.

I have had mine since July I think and I just changed the blade for the first time since then!!! I can cut about four sheet of the SU CS accurately and without a thought but I have done more...it is soooooo easy to use and it is soooo great to have it hold the paper so tightly!

Default Carl Cutters

I've worked with Mike and Patty from Everafter Arts at some West Coast Shows. I absolutely, positively fell in love (or maybe lust ?) when I was able to cut and score everything with NO problems. (from Bazzill to vellum) Yeehaaaa. I'm not a SU demonstrator, just an addict who likes to cut cardstock correctly every time. They give discounts to demonstratore from ALL companies...and don't forget to take a look at the lamps !! They rock.

Don't even talk to me about those lamps!!!! I have wanted one for sooo long...ahhh a gal can dream...
But really though, tell me about them! Are they like real fresh light? Do colors look true under them? I am going to need some ideas for my birthday and so I thought I would get a good list right now! LOL Any details you can tell me about would really be great!

I have an Carl RT-215 which I got at Staples with a $20 off promo coupon last November. (Not a demo).

It's wonderful!!!!

I took the 12" Fiskars to my office because I need it occassionally--my boss pronounced himself terrified. The difference in how they cut is night and day.

I still have an ancient swing arm cutter which I need for heavy stuff for kid crafts.

Default Cutters and Lamps

The difference in the lamps is the difference between night and day....no pun intended......

Go onto Mike and Patty's web site...
www.everafterarts.com

and take a look at the lamps. The colors are absolutely true, and anytime you're matching card stock and not using your SU color wheel, you'll be thrilled and thankful you've got the lamp. I have a small one but really want a floor model, because its on wheels and can go anywhere...

They are less expensive than the OTT lamps, and just as good if not better...has to be better if it costs less, right ?

I have two RT-200 cutters....one with a straight blade and the other with a scoring blade...I also have two of the personal trimmers, with the magnetic part that holds the paper in place..one is 6" and the other 12"....I am sure I'll want a larger cutter at some point in time. However, I am not a SU demonstrator, and don't teach classes at this time so these work well for me.....oh, I also do have a handheld and a bunch of the decorative blades. I got rid of all my scissors, except postoid cut...
