I just ordered a set of 36 Copic Ciao's from RiztCamera through Amazon.com for $99 w/ Free Shipping. They have all four sets (A thru D) available. Shipping was fast and I love my markers!!

I don't often post a complaint but I am going to..

I usually ordered from Oozak.com but due to their lack of stock on colors I needed, the last order I placed through Carpediem...same price, and free shipping on sketch...because they said on the front page..ALWAYS IN STOCK.

However they shipped after almost 2 weeks, and were missing 3 colors, which were out of stock and not placed on backorder. I was automatically refunded the price of the 3 markers, but I specifically ordered from them BECAUSE they were in stock. They were VERY slow with shipping and did not provide what was promised. :(

Anyway...that's my little vent for the day.

I still love oozak, just wish they had everything I needed in stock!!

I have used this company a couple of times with no problem. I usually get an email 1-2 days after ordering that my item is in the mail and it arrives shortly after that

If i only need a few to fill in gaps, I order them from scrapbookingalley.com, no shipping not tax........ I have even ordered just One.

I bought during carpediems last sale, the price couldnt be beat, ANYWHERE, shipping was slow and i hard a time getting a response by phone or email, I figured they were swamped because the price was so low.......

When they did return the phone calls, that was what the owner told me and she apologized......... And with the low price, I understand completely.

One pen was out of stock and refunded, total time from order date to my door was One Week.

Yes, I will buy from them again at their next sale, I cant beat the price, and I feel with such a low price that they deserved some slack....... If i had bought the pens anywhere else would have been quite a bit more

I should mention, that even with the state sales tax I had to pay their price couldnt be beat, they have my business for good, but i realize if i want it ASAP that cant happen when 100s of orders are submitted.

Same thing happened with me only they were missing 6 - you would have thought they'd put them on backorder and ship them when they came in. It took me a while to receove them as well.

Same thing happened to me. It took 5 days to fill my order then another days for FedEx to deliver it. I wish they had other options in shipping like USPS and UPS.

I had one marker on backorder and they cancelled it.

I ordered my Copic ciao markers off ebay for 39.99. I wasn't unhappy with the price after shopping around and finding that the price was pretty comparable with other online sites. However, I ..well.. almost hate these markers. Maybe I lack the knowledge to use them properly or maybe they aren't the right ones for shading and fine detailling a stamped image. I don't know. They just don't seem to be any different from any other marker I've used although I've never used markers for coloring stamps. I don't know anything about any of the other copics so maybe I just made a bad choice based on what I planned for its use. Any suggestions?

I just went to carpediem and I did not see individual sketch markers only sets. Am I missing something?

On the left side of the screen, choose Copic. It will come up with a bunch of different choices including individual markers and sets. Choose individual and then sketch.

I saw this on a friends' blog:
http://www.diecutsrus.com/category_55/Copic-Markers.htm
They are ciaos though, but at $2.99 each while supplies last, I can't complain!

I'm considering copics, but have a few questions. What makes them so much better than other markers? Do they have an odor? (I have allergies to fragrances.)

I have allergies, too, and I have not had any odor problems with mine. I use Copic Ciao markers.

If we are talking Hobby Lobby here, no. They are Art markers. They were just on sale last week.

Hope this helps save someone money!
Another soon to be satisfied customer!
I should have finished reading all of the posts before I purchased my customized set of 24 markers...

I figure that my missed savings is taking care of my free shipping via UPS. I will definitely remember to sign in first the next time I go to Oozak to make a purchase!

Thanks for all of the information on Copics...

I just received an email from www.Oozak.com that my order has shipped! WOW! Less than 6 hours from placing the order to shipped and it will be arriving in time for my dd's birthday on the 31st!

This is one of two things she had on her wish list...copic markers! She's not a stamper but a manga artist so I anticipate an amazing improvement in her artwork by the end of the year and of course, she'll have another wish list of Copic colors for the holidays.

That's a great resource, thanks! Also, I've mixed brands of alcohol markers, so if people are interested, there are lots of brands other than Copic.

I'm in Canada and have ordered from 7kidscollegefund.com Their prices are great and shiping cost were reasonable too! I recieved my order in a week(from USA to Canada) They also only charge you the actual shipping cost. They refunded me the extra! Will definitely order from them again.
Just thought I'd share!

They sell Sketch and Ciao markers on Joann.com now. I was able to get the 36 Sketch set at 50% off for $115. I don't think you can beat that!

Carpe Diem has a sale on their Copic Sketch markers, $3.85 each. Free shipping for $80 or more in sketch markers. You have to include at least one of the newest colors to qualify for free shipping.

I live in Canada and will never order from Oozak again - they do have great prices but ended up having to pay $40 in custom and UPS fees for an item that originally cost me $50! I too just ordered my first Copics from 7collegekidsfund.com - they were only $4.89 each and shipping was great!

Default Costs

So I have been contemplating about getting into this hobby as well - another expensive one! So I decided to do some math for everything (and myself)

Hope this helps anyone!

*I have no experience with CarpeDiem.
*I have made several orders with RitzCamera/ScrapbookingAlley and have been more than pleased. Shipping time is about a week for Illinois. So to me, a bit slow but for free shipping- oh well!

Handy dandy little calculations-

If you were to buy Copic Sketch-

Carpe Diem
would charge you 3.85(sale for individual) a marker- so you buy ten... $38.50 Then shipping is $12.18 (for IL) and taxes will be ~$3.00 = $54.00 sale price

S-Alley would charge you 4.87(almost a dollar more than CD) a marker... so you buy ten which has no tax or shipping = $48.70 all September

If you were to buy Copic Ciao-
Carpe Diem $2.85 x ten markers = $28.50 then $3 tax and $12.18 (IL) shipping = $44.00

Scrapbooking Alley is $3.22 a marker x ten markers = $32.20 no shipping and no tax = $32.20

Did this help anyone? I'm an analyzer! Can you tell?

Actually Carpe Diem has free shipping on sketch if you spend $80...and they only charge sales tax to California residents.

You can get 21 sketch for $82.60 ($1.75 for sig conf.) from Carpe Diem vs $102.27 from scrapbookingalley.

My LSS has a copic club for marker lovers. It is for local and online members... members get discounts on copics, I know that the monthly bundle is 35% off and other discounts are available during the month as well. Pre-order deals are also available to club members. I am not sure the exact details. I just choose the monthly bundle colors: colors that go together for shading and blending. I run the blog for the club members which includes tutorials, product features and more. Every month there is a 'class' for all the members. Not sure if this helps anyone.... OH and the blog is open to all, not just members.

the blog is copicmunkie.blogspot.com the store is Funkie Munkie Scraps in Greer, SC 864-288-9400

For me, after tax and shipping they came out to $5 each, so definitely not the cheapest place.

Anyone know if/where I can find Copics for less than $4.54 each? (That have all, or most, of the colors in stock.)
