I haven't purchased a circle cutter yet. Back in threads in 2005, it seemed as though the CM circle cutter was what most people liked. Is this still the best, or is there something better out there now?
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
I've not used the CM cutter, but I love the Coluzzle! It's very easy to use. There are a lot of fans of the Coluzzle on this site and a whole lot of threads on the subject, too. If you do a search for it, you'll find lots of info, and I seem to remember some of threads comparing the CM and Coluzzle systems. HTH!
I have the ovals, and I intend to get the circles. I like them much better than Coluzzle. I like many of the other templates for Coluzzle but the CM cutter is NICE!
The CM circle/oval, etc. cutting system is head and shoulders above Coluzzle as far as I am concerned. With the CM system is nearly impossible to make a "bad" cut (although I have managed to!). I have a Coluzzle and really don't like it, however, I got it before they told you to use the foam pad underneath, so maybe it is easier to use with that.
I know you said you are already buying them, but I have to add that they are the best cutting system I have used. I love the cutting templates, so that I can check which one fits best and then know right away the right blade to use. I have some of the patterns too, I dont use them as often as the circles and ovals. Definitely worth the $$
i love, love & love all CM templates!!! i have these cute page ideas that my CM consultant gave me.. you can make bears, dogs, rabbits & cats.. if i knew how to do the uploading thing i would be willing to share..if i can get HH to help i will send them to you all.. if not, if you all can wait till i come back from vacation i will send them to you... send me your address and i will make copys..
I would check into the Coluzzle before you invest in the CM system. I had the CM system with the ovals, circles, the newer stars and I couldn't wait to sell them after purchasing the Coluzzle from Stampin' Up (it's also sold in craft stores). It is way eaiser to see where you are cutting exactly, all the pieces are in one, it's more compact for traveling to crops, it's way more affordable. I took different color sharpie markers to trace each size groove so I can stay in the right track and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! It's $20 for circles AND ovals included from Stampin' Up versus the $56 or more to get BOTH circles and ovals with the CM version.

I scraped, before I stamped and over the years have collected all of the CM cutting shapes!! I Love them!! The only thing negative I have heard is sometimes beginers find them difficult...but you didn't jump on a 2 wheeler bike and ride a marathon did you? ;)

I'm in the minority here, but I love the Coluzzle system much better than CM or Fiskars tools. The foam pad makes all the difference in the world - Coluzzle is nearly impossible without the foam pad, the easiest cutter I've tried with the foam pad, and I love that there are so many shapes & templates available besides the basics. Along with circle, oval, and square I have a ton of different tag shapes and envelope templates I use.

The CM cutting system is easier to use when using the lightweight CM papers. I find that I have a harder time using it with the thick SU! cardstock and I sometimes don't cut all the way through on the first try or get slightly uneven results. But I still love it!
