I just bought a few Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink pads- I have two of the full size pads and a few of the Cat's Eye's. The Cat's Eyes seem a bit dryer than the full size pads- does anyone have experience with these- do the Cat's Eye's run out of ink quicker than the full size pads?
I'm wondering if I should invest in more of the full size pads and not the Cat's Eyes, if I'm going to need to replace them or buy bottles of the reinker...
I have about 6 or 7 full size Chalk ink pads and they are still just as juicy as the day I got them! Can't say about the cat's eye ones though, I only have one of those and I don't even think I've used it yet! LOL.
I especially like the chalk ink for the clear stamps, seems to hold to the acrylic better than the dye ink does.
Most of my cat's eyes lasted about 1 year before they started to dry out. I think they do dry out faster than the large ones, but you can buy a reinker and small pad for about the same or less than 1 large pad. I like the small pads for direct to paper around the edges, but the large ones are better for inking background stamps.
I bought reinkers when I bought my full size pads, which I use LOTS. I have only ever had to reink 2 of them one time. I reink my dye pads constantly. The chalk ink is wonderful.
I keep my "cat's eye" style pads in a zip lock it might be just in my mind but I think it helps a bit.. I also keep my stampin around cartridges in one just in case!
I luuuurv cats eye chalks .... i think i've got every colour now !! I keep the cats eyes zipped up in my tote and the full size pads in a box, although I haven't got the full set of the larger pads.
