I just used my airbrush for the first time. I have to say that it rocks!!! My question is... when you're finished using it, do you disassemble everything and put all the parts away (hose/adapter/grip), or do you just close down the aircap screw and leave it all put together for your next use or until it's time to change the aircan? The directions don't really address how to store it when you're done.
Hi Catherine,
I have to admit that I'm so in love with it that I just leave it put together sitting on my table fully engaged even though I'm only able to use it maybe once a week. I will check with Marianne and post her recommendations here. Just remember when you are backing off the screw at the top of the can don't unscrew it too far or it will come right out. I'll be back tomorrow with the "real" information
Ellen... I can't believe you took time to check out the boards with everything going on at your place! You're an angel. It makes sense to just leave it in place, which was the answer I was hoping for.
I'm lovin' the airbrushing. I can already see that I will be in the market for one of those little compressors. Any info on that little baby will be most appreciated!
I was in a stamp store yesterday and talking with a lady about copic markers and how I wanted an airbrush. She mentioned that their supplier of the copic markers that they carried (ciao) is working on an adapter attachment for the airbrush. It never occurred to me that the airbrush assembly wouldn't accommodate the ciao markers. Does anyone know about this? Does the airbrush only fit the sketch variety?
Yes... right now the clip that holds the marker in place is shaped for the Sketch or Original markers. But, I also have a set of Ciao's and have been looking at how they fit the holder. I was thinking I might could rig up something to secure a Ciao to position the tip next to the air nozzle. I haven't gotten any further than the idea at this point since I bought a dozen of the Sketch markers to use with the airbrush.
That would be a great idea if they would actually offer an adapter. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be following that closely.
