I have gotten such great advice from this forum, Thank you all. This is a little part of what I am making for my 1st craft fair ever! I am so worried that nothing will sell. Do you have the same self doubts???
Your items are all very very nice! I LOVE your Christmas cards-they are stunning! I wish you luck and hope all your lovely items sell. As long as the price is right I think you will do great!
I have 3 of these pails left over from christmas last year and decided to use them for a family (of 4) snowman soup pail for the craft fair I am doing. I think this turned out really cute. http://tinypic.com/r/fedrti/4

Just wanted to remind everyone that if you are making projects that have candy in them, if you can....WAIT UNTIL THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN! I always go to Target the day after because they have anything and everything Halloween 1/2 off. Most of the Halloween packaging for the candy is only on the outside bag. The candy inside is usually packed like normal. I have gotten M&M's, Nerds, Pixie Sticks, Suckers, Tootsie Rolls, and so many others. Plus, I always go Christmas shopping for my youngest daughter that day. Her favorite thing to do is dress up so I always go and get her the pretty costumes to play in all year.

Very very cute, Anita. I love the ribbons tied on the handle. I have some little red pails I got at the Target Dollar Spot to make my Snowman Soup. Now I know what to do with the handles, lol. Tie ribbons!

question for you all?? i live in a small town and am doing my first craft fair this november how many multiple of an item (15,25,50, )should i do. Thinking 25 of each is a good number but not sure. exception is the card sets i am only making 10 sets of 4 cards in a pack. Don't want to run out but i realize some stuff probably won't sell and can use again another time but what would you say is a good number for each item i'm selling about 8-10 different items and some are only for pre order cause they are to hard to make on the spot sorta deal. your input is appreciated seeing how i don't have many crafty friends here and you all understand my addiction.
I would do depending on the amt of labor intensity,if you can keep it for another year your that much ahead. I usually do 25ish depending on how sure I am of a sale and if perishables are involved.
I've done a few craft fairs, but the one I did this summer was far and away the best. I had only 2 different items, but many made up. I think I had about 200 of item A, and 50 of item B. Very clean display, just massed out the items. Oh, and my price point was $6 or 2 for $5. Most people bought 2 to get the better price.
From what I saw at the fair, the people who did 1 thing, but en masse, sold the most items. There was a stand that did $12ish wall shelves, for example that did pretty well. The diaper cake table, while it was a single item, didn't sell a thing--they had a much higher price point.
I've heard the same thing as well. Maybe it gives the perception that if you're making so many, you're sure that people will want it, so it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, UKWIM?

Would you mind sharing what were your two items?
Without divulging too many details ;) I'll say that they were jewelry, paper involved but no stamping.
I invested a few bucks in specialty jewelry trays, but honestly, they were cheap for a cohesive display. The pieces were massed out without looking jumbled, and people could look them over without rifling through them.
Hi ladies! I have uploaded quite a few close up pictures of items I am making for my sales. They are in my gallery and I hope you enjoy looking at them. I need a couple more good ideas. I have a bunch of leftover items(higher priced) that I will sell, but did not upload the pictures for. Thanks again for all the creativity on this site!! I LOVE IT!!! Leslie

Leslie, I looked at everything and commented on some things, too. You have done a super job on all your things. I know how hard you have worked. I especially love all your packaging. I found it really made a difference at my sale. I think you will do real well.
This thread is great fun, and I don't miss a day of coming here.

I love making these little pads and will be online at midnight to order this. I know, I'm hopeless.
I just placed my order! Should I start stalking tomorrow? LOL I SO want that order NOW. (Not like I have time to play with the new things right now, but I want them here to admire!)

Got my order in, too. I need it to get here fast. I'm want to use all the stuff to make things for craft fairs coming on Nov. 7th, 14th and Dec. 5th.
I think I can. I think I can.

I peeked at your ETSY site...love the Twilight jewelry! Will have to pick one up for my "Cullen Crazy" niece!

Has anyone tried selling the BAB tins at a craft fair? Im not sure if I want to invest in them (BAB dies) or not! Any input would be great!
Thanks
I borrowed the dies from my upline and made a tin for my daughter. It's labor intensive and costly. Not worth it in my opinion. You'd have to sell them for at least $15 to make anything off of them. I'm just not sure many people would be willing to spend $15 on them.

I didnt really want to buy them anyway! LOL. Oh goody I have more money to spend elsewhere! Lets see........

I wouldn't get the dies solely for the purpose of making the magnetic paper dolls, but if you're planning to use the BAB products for other things, then that's another story. Right now I've got ideas for cards, gift bags, scrapbooking... and not just for items to sell, either!

i'm really sorry if this is a dumb question - but what do u do with them??
Evelyn, reading the comments under the picture in the gallery, people use them for First Communion gifts, etc. They are made with scented soap, so they smell nice.
Maybe the concept is "your sins are washed away."
