Cuttlebug B plates - do you switch them around?

I've had my CB only a few days, but the B plate I use on top already is pretty marked up (I know that's to be expected) and it's slightly curved (up when it's face up). Do you switch the B plates around, or would that just make the issue worse? I will buy replacement plates soon so that I'm not stuck unable to use the Bug, but just wondering if anyone who has had it longer than me can give me some input.

I asked the same question and was given the advice to flip the top B plate over when using the embossing plates. It helps to straighten it out a bit. As far as the cuts, I have used mine a lot and have only used one side of one of my B plates for that so far. I would think when it no longer works well, flip it over.

I constantly flip sides and flip ends to keep mine straight. Mine came with a note that it would make my plates last longer if I did this. I have been told that inevitably they will break so I used my coupon to buy a set of spare B plates to have on hand since they are hard to find around here.

I just started flipping over the top plate - it was getting rather bowed. I am hoping by using the other side it may flatten a bit and hopefully I will avoid or prolong the break/cracking!

I flip mine over and I also switch which plate I use on the top and which I use on the bottom... so both sides of both B plates are scratched up on mine. Hopefully by doing this they will last longer.

The initial advice we received was to just use up one surface for cutting, then move on to another. But the bowing became a real issue. That's when I started flipping my "cut" plate when I embossed. Now I mostly emboss, anyway. :-) But I think the flipping plates advice that came later was probably better. But I'm still just using one plate to cut--I can't overcome that first advice! LOL I flip it over and around. The blog on Provo Craft's website says each plate should be good for about 500 cuts--which is a ton!
