I would assume these would work in there with the sizzix converter. The dies are thin and metal (kind of like QuiKutz). Since the converter works for Sizzlets (thin dies), I would assume it would also work for Cuttlebug and QK dies too. Sorry, don't have a Sizzix anymore to try it out on (got bit by the bug). : )
HTH!

okay I have the converter that I use with the quickutz dies, and it works great. I am hoping to be able to use the machine I already have without having to purchase another one.
Does the converter also work with the Cuttlebug embossing folders? I'm a little afraid to put mine in there as the embossing folders are plastic and I'm afraid they'll break.
Dumb question here...I haven't used mine in so long that I can't remember which way the dies go in (with the converter). Foam up or foam down? Thanks for the help.

They have both worked for me. The only problem I have had is that the shape on the outside of the die- I guess its a sticker seems to peel off after a few times through the sizzix. I solved that by puting packaging tape over the outside of the die. works great now. Have had no problems with the folders! Love them
If you are using the Sizzix, I have been putting the foam down as you would with the Sizzix brand dies/sizzlits...I saw something yesterday about putting the foam up, but that may be specific to using them in the cuttlebug machine...
I read a thread on here the other day saying that the embossing die's for the Cuttlebug work in the Sixxiz. I bought a die last night at Michaels just to try it and see if it worked and it does. The lady who checked me out ask me if I liked my Cuttlebug, and I told her the story and she want's me to let her know if it worked so she wouldn't have to buy another machine. I am really excited about it. Those machine's do take up a lot of room. Now I have more money to spend on the die's.
Someone informed me that I could use the embossing folders with my sizzix if I have the converter (which I do). And that has worked wonderfully! So, now I'm wondering if I can use the dies as well? Anyone know?
Also, I've been just sending the folder through and pressing down (without anything else in there). Do I need to send anything else through to help protect it?
And lastly, what other companies' embossing plates have you tried with your sizzix that you've had success with? (For example, Fiskars or ???) How did you get it to work? Can you use brass stencils in any way? I was wondering if I put something soft on both sides (like mouse pads) if it'd work.
I want to thank (again) the person who told me about using the embossing folder with the sizzix. I've hardly used my machine at all (I keep it in the box I use it so seldom) and now I'm actually using it!
I'm in the same position. I am rediscovering my sizzix. I've used the embossing folders with great success.
I just bought one of the cb dies to try since they look like they are about the same size as the sizzlet dies. I've had mixed success with them, but then again I was never happy with how well the sizzlet dies cut. They didn't completely cut through the cardstock. That is the same thing I noticed with the cb dies. When there is a lot of detail cutting, portions don't cut cleanly. Simpler cuts work fine.
That is why I'm looking for suggestions to help get better, cleaner cuts.
I know my Sizzix machine is getting a little "loose" and doesn't cut through all the details of a die at times. I can tell when the pressure doesn't feel right on the lever. When that happens I slip in an index card that has been folded in half to add extra pressure.
I have to do the index card trick when I use the CB embossing folders too.
Since sizlets are thin, try this.
the dies do work in the sizzix...at this point anything for the cuttlebug works in the sizzix...I just saw a post that new things are on their way so we shall see about those!!!
If you have the converter that is all you need for the folders and dies...
The Fiskars plates do not work in the sizzix b/c they are too wide - I tried!
Other brass templates/stencils will work...this is what you need to do...
you will make a sandwich...place your stencil on the cutting pad, then your paper, then place a piece (cut to the size of the convertor) of a foam mouse pad...slide it all under the convertor and proceed as normal!! The only problem is that you may (most likely) end up with the outline of the stencil around your image...sometimes thats good, sometimes, not so much!!!
As far as the sizzlits/thin dies not cutting well...it could be that you need a new cutting pad...after alot of use they don't cut as well OR you may just need to add shims under the cutting pad...basically just keep layering some scraps of copy paper or cardstock depending on how much you need to "lift" it up and that should help cut better...

Hey, thanks, Cathy! I knew the C'Bug templates worked, but I didn't know how to use other stencils. I've got to try this!
And you use the cuttlebug embossing templates with a sizzix?? I thought someone had told me. I did go and read the rolling pin idea. But hate to buy something more when I could just use that I have. Any suggestions??
You can if you have the magnetic adaptor. I was doing this without any problems, but the folder only fits in 'portrait' style, whereas it will fit portrait or landscape in the Cuttlebug. I also think the embossing is crisper in the Cuttlebug. But it definitely does work in the Sizzix!
I have a sizzix and i just started using cuttlebug embossing folders with it. They are great, don't know how you can get any better, I love it and I'm using my sizzix more!

I've been using Cuttlebug embossing folders and dies in my Sizzix, and they are absolutely wonderful! You don't need to go out and buy the Cuttlebug (or the Big Shot, or any other machine) if you have a Sizzix and want to use these dies.
Does anyond know if I can use my sizzix machine with the cuttlebug dies or do the cuttlebug brand have to be rolled? Please any help would be great. jana C*
I have tried bosskut, zip'e cuts, double do, sizzlits, sizzix in my bug and every single one cut fine. I did 4 diff brands (thinner ones like BK) at the same time and no problems. I have my sizzix and bug but I thinking about selling my bug if everything works in the sizzix. The sizzix also cuts chipboard. Does anyone know if the bug does? I only use the thin stuff like cereal boxes and such.
I've used my Sizzix Sidekick fine but the Big Boss warped the die
I've used the Cuddlebug dies fine with my Sizzix Sidekick but the Big Boss system warped it. It still cuts fine but the metal is bent. You are limited by the size of the Sidekick so you can't use it for the large embossing folders.
